Privacy

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages and hotels people find useful, which language they read in, and whether they click through to a booking partner. This data is aggregated and does not identify you.

Saved hotels are stored only in your browser, on your device. We do not receive them.

When you click Check availability you leave this site and go to Expedia. Their privacy policy applies from that point. The link carries a tracking label so we can be paid a commission on bookings; it does not carry personal data.

On our things-to-do pages, GetYourGuide's booking calendar loads from GetYourGuide as the page opens, and GetYourGuide takes the booking. Its privacy policy, including any cookies it sets, applies to the calendar and to anything you book through it.

We do not set advertising cookies. Any analytics we run is configured to work without cross-site tracking.

Pages load a script from Travelpayouts, an affiliate network, which can turn links to travel and activity sites into affiliate links and may set its own cookies. The airport pages also show a booking box for private transfers by Welcome Pickups, loaded from Travelpayouts only when you scroll to it. Its privacy policy applies to what it collects: travelpayouts.com/privacy.

For readers outside the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada, hotel booking links go through Stay22, an affiliate network, which sends you to the booking site most likely to suit you and may set its own cookies. To decide which link to show, the site checks which country you are in; that country is not stored with anything that identifies you. The where-to-stay pages also show every reader a map from Stay22, which loads only when you scroll to it. Stay22’s privacy policy applies to what it collects: stay22.com/privacy.
