Marrakech airport lounge: the Aspire Lounge in Terminal 1

Marrakech Menara has one lounge to know for an international flight home: the Aspire Lounge, on the second floor of Terminal 1, after security and passport control. Swissport's Aspire Executive Lounges runs it under a ten-year licence from ONDA, Morocco's airports authority, which covers eleven lounges at nine Moroccan airports. Here is who gets in, what is inside and whether it is worth it.

The short answer

Flying abroad from Terminal 1, the Aspire Lounge opposite Gate A3 is the one: Priority Pass lists it as open 24 hours, with entry from 3 hours before departure for up to 3 hours, a hot and cold buffet and alcohol included. It is worth it for a wait of an hour or more after passport control, and for the earliest flights, since it is listed as open around the clock. Priority Pass members bring guests at the member's cost and under-3s go free.

The lounge to use before a flight to Europe: food hot and cold, drinks including alcohol, wi-fi and flight screens, and open whatever time your flight leaves.

Best for Priority Pass members on any international flight from Terminal 1, and anyone facing a dawn departure or a delay.

Is the lounge worth it at Marrakech?

For a wait of an hour or more, yes. Once you are through passport control the choice airside is a handful of cafés, Starbucks, PAUL, Segafredo, Illy and Mazar, and the duty-free shops, so a seat with a hot buffet, a drink and wi-fi is a real step up. With Priority Pass it costs nothing more, and Priority Pass lets you in from 3 hours before departure.

Time it after the queues, not before. ONDA says the average wait at Menara came down to under an hour after its 2025 changes, and you can only reach the lounge once you are through both. If you arrive with 90 minutes to spare and the queues are long, the lounge may not be worth hurrying for.

With Priority Pass, or without a lounge card

Yes. The Aspire Lounge is not an airline lounge: Swissport, which runs it for ONDA, says its Moroccan lounges are open to travellers regardless of airline or class of travel. Priority Pass lists it, with the digital card accepted at the door, and lets members bring guests at the member's cost with no limit on numbers.

Without a card, book on Aspire's own website before you fly, where it sells entry to this lounge at a price per person including taxes; prices change, so check it there. Priority Pass offers no pre-booking here, and no walk-in price is published, so if you turn up without a booking ask at the desk and arrive with time in hand in case it is full.

The lounge with children

Yes. Priority Pass admits children under 3 free; older children come in as the member's guests. There is no dress code. Priority Pass notes a smoking room inside the lounge, so with small children ask for seats away from it.

The lounge lists disabled access, and ONDA says the terminal has ramps and lifts for passengers with reduced mobility, with airport and ground-handling staff to help. Book assistance through your airline when you book the flight.

Early flights, late flights and delays

Priority Pass lists the Aspire Lounge as open from 00:00 to 23:59 every day, so it is open for a proper breakfast before a dawn flight to London or Paris. If your flight is delayed, the 3-hour limit runs from when you go in; ask the desk if you need longer.

On a delay, your airline may owe you meals and refreshments: our page on delayed flights from Marrakech explains which airlines and which rules.
