Naples airport pick-up points
Naples airport has one terminal, so every pick-up starts at the same arrivals doors on the ground floor. What changes is where you walk next: the taxi lane straight ahead, the Pick-Up area about 100 metres away for the out-of-city taxis, the shared taxi and the car hire shuttle, or the coach stop by car park P1 for Sorrento and Salerno. Here is each point, as GESAC, the airport operator, and the operators state it.
The 30-second version
Walk out of arrivals to the taxi lane in front of the building for a taxi into Naples or the port. For the Amalfi Coast, taxis for trips out of the city wait in their own lane next to the Pick-Up car park, a short walk from arrivals: €145 fixed to Positano, €155 to Amalfi, €160 to Ravello, tolls extra. A pre-booked driver meets you where you agreed, the coaches to Sorrento and Salerno leave from the P Bus stop next to car park P1, and a friend collecting you gets 15 minutes free in the Pick-Up area, once a day.

Main terminal
- Taxi
The taxi lane in front of arrivals
Straight out of the arrivals doors. These are licensed Naples taxis, and from the airport they charge the City of Naples' fixed fares per car, which include luggage, night and holiday supplements and the airport supplement: €21 to Napoli Centrale and €24 to Molo Beverello for the hydrofoils. Ask for the fixed fare (tariffa predeterminata) before the car moves; the driver cannot refuse it and must give you a receipt showing it before you set off.
- Taxi
The out-of-city taxi lane, next to the Pick-Up car park
The lane for trips beyond Naples, with easy access from arrivals, and the one to head for with the Amalfi Coast in mind. Fixed fares per car: €125 to Sorrento, €145 to Positano, €155 to Amalfi and €160 to Ravello, with motorway tolls extra and €5 for a minivan (more than four passengers, or on request). For Praiano, Conca dei Marini, Minori or Scala there is no published fixed fare, so agree the price before you get in.
- Taxi
Radio taxi lane, next to the Pick-Up car park
Where a taxi you have called by phone or app collects you. The fixed fares still apply, but the radio taxi call fee is not included in them.
- Taxi
Shared taxi stop in the Pick-Up car park, about 100 metres from arrivals
The taxi collettivo runs to Napoli Centrale and the port at Molo Beverello for €6 a person with luggage, with no meter, and the price does not change with stops on the way. The driver gives you a receipt before departure, and the car leaves 15 minutes after the first three passengers arrive.
- Pre-booked driver
The meeting point agreed with the driver, in the arrivals hall
A pre-booked driver meets you as you come out of baggage reclaim, with your name on a sign. Give the driver your flight number rather than a time, so a delay is tracked, and agree the meeting point when you book.
- Uber and ride apps
The pick-up point the Uber app assigns
Uber operates at Naples airport with Black and Van cars, and Uber Reserve lets you book up to 90 days ahead. Uber states that the pick-up point is assigned in the app when you request the ride and may not be at the nearest exit; use 'Directions to pickup' in the app to find it.
- Bus
Alibus ticket machines on the arrivals ground floor
ANM's Alibus runs to Piazza Garibaldi (Napoli Centrale) in about 15 minutes and Molo Beverello, for the ferries, in about 35. Tickets are €5, from the machines on the arrivals ground floor or online in the airport's eShop.
- Coach
P Bus stop, next to car park P1
The regional and long-distance coaches leave from here, among them Curreri Viaggi to Pompei, Castellammare, Vico Equense and Sorrento, and SITA Sud, Busitalia Campania and others to Salerno. Buses arrive 10 minutes before departure. Curreri, which calls its stop the Tourist Bus parking, runs eight a day from 09:00 to 19:30, about 75 minutes to Sorrento station, €13 booked online.
- Car hire
Desks on the first floor of the arrivals area (Sixt on the ground floor); cars in the reserved area at car park P3
Autovia, Avis, Budget, Maggiore, Drivalia, Europcar, Hertz, Locauto, AutoEuropa-Sicily by Car and Sixt have desks in the terminal; B-Rent and Noleggiare have offices 550 to 700 metres away. A free shuttle runs every 15 minutes between the terminal and the car parks, from 07:30 to 23:30, from the stop in the Pick-Up area outside arrivals.
- Friends collecting you
The Pick-Up area in front of arrivals
Free for up to 15 minutes: take a ticket from the parking meter in the area and leave it on the dashboard. Each vehicle may use the Pick-Up area only once in 24 hours.
- Friends collecting you
Car park P1, about 300 metres from departures, and the Comfort multi-storey next to arrivals
For a longer wait, P1 is free for the first 45 minutes, then €2.50 up to an hour. The covered Comfort multi-storey, next to arrivals, costs €4 an hour or part of an hour.
Being picked up by a friend: where to wait and what it costs
Not for the first 15 minutes. The roads in front of the terminal are a controlled traffic zone: cameras log every plate in and out, and a vehicle may stay in the airport area for up to 15 minutes. Go over and the cameras trigger a fine, which GESAC puts at €80 to €318, paid to the City of Naples.
The Pick-Up area in front of arrivals is free for those 15 minutes with a ticket from the meter on the dashboard, but only once per vehicle in 24 hours. For a longer wait, or a delayed flight, your friend should go to car park P1, free for the first 45 minutes. Driving into a car park takes the car out of the zone, and the 15-minute count starts again when it leaves.
- Pick-Up area
- 15 minutes free, once per vehicle per 24 hours
- Overstaying in the airport zone
- Fine of €80 to €318, by GESAC's figures
- Car park P1
- First 45 minutes free, then €2.50 to 1 hour
- Comfort multi-storey, by arrivals
- €4 an hour
Meeting a pre-booked driver
In the arrivals hall, at the point you agreed when booking: with one terminal there is only one hall, so it is quick. For the Amalfi Coast this is the arrival we would choose for Praiano, Conca dei Marini, Minori and Scala, where there is no published fixed taxi fare, and for anyone landing late: the price is fixed when you book and the driver tracks the flight. Allow about 62 to 76 minutes to our hotels with the roads clear.
Landing late at night
The terminal closes from 22:30 to 03:30 except for exceptional delays, so late arrivals are moving through a building that is about to shut. The fixed taxi fares include the night supplement, so a late landing costs the same. The last Curreri coach to Sorrento leaves at 19:30 and the car hire shuttle stops at 23:30. If you land after the last coach, take the taxi lane or have a driver waiting.
Accessible pick-up
Yes. The multi-storey car park has 44 free spaces for passengers with reduced mobility, and a driver collecting a passenger who needs assistance can apply online for a dedicated space outside Sala Amica, the assistance lounge. Naples taxis carry wheelchairs, pushchairs and guide dogs free. Assistance through the airport is free too: ask your airline at least 48 hours before you fly.
November 2026
Naples airport is closed from 1 to 30 November 2026 for runway works, and the traffic zone is suspended for the month. Some flights move to Salerno Costa d'Amalfi airport, and a bus runs from Piazza Garibaldi in Naples to Salerno airport, eight a day each way, for €12 paid on board by card.
