Why this one

The four categories below the Deluxe run from 23 to 33 square metres and are sold looking at the inner courtyard, the street or the city, which here means the narrow streets and tiled roofs of the neighbourhood rather than the view from the viewpoint side. The Deluxe is the first category the hotel sells with a panoramic outlook, although as panoramic or city, and it comes with 42 square metres, large windows in the bathroom as well as the bedroom, and king or twin beds. For 9 to 11 February 2027, the non-refundable room-only rate was 391 euros a night against 306 for the Superior: 85 euros for nine square metres more and a real chance of the view. For 20 to 22 April 2027 the same pair was 599 and 485.

Above the Deluxe the ladder is about floor area and extras rather than outlook. The Junior Suite adds six square metres, a bath and a sofa bed for a third adult or two children under 12, but it is sold as street and city. The Suite adds a separate living room and a walk-in rainfall shower at 59 square metres, and only the Ludovice Prestige, at 65, is sold with the panoramic view and the balcony and no alternative. At the bottom, the Courtyard Room is the smallest room in the house and the only one that faces the courtyard alone.

Ask for
Ask in writing when you book for a Deluxe on the viewpoint side and as high up the five-storey façade as they can put you, because the category is sold as panoramic or city and the panoramic side is the reason to pay for it. If sleep matters more than the view, book the Courtyard Room, or ask for the courtyard side of a Comfort or Classic, both of which are sold as courtyard or street.
Avoid
Low-floor rooms on the street side if you sleep lightly: the viewpoint is directly opposite and Bairro Alto begins behind the hotel. Do not book a Comfort Room expecting twin beds, because the hotel sells it with double beds only, and do not count on a sofa bed below the Junior Suite, since extra beds are offered only in the three suite categories.

Suites against rooms

The Ludovice Prestige is 65 square metres with a bath, high ceilings and the main balcony facing the city and the castle, the only category sold with a panoramic view and no alternative. Non-refundable and room only, it was 924 euros a night for 9 to 11 February 2027 and 1,296 for 20 to 22 April. The Suite, at 638 in February, is the better-value large room if you want a separate sitting room and can live without the balcony; ask for its panoramic side, because it is sold as panoramic or street.
