Choose Orient Express La Minerva if

  • Special occasions
  • Design-led stays
  • Anniversary weekends
  • Short Rome trips
  • Rooftop aperitivo

The catch

The view is not in the entry rooms, and it is not in the first upgrade either. The hotel's own words put the Pantheon or Piazza della Minerva in five of its fourteen categories, plus some but not all Deluxe Rooms. The Junior Suite with View is described by the hotel as a view over Rome, and the cheapest category the hotel itself says faces the Pantheon is the Stendhal Suite, at 3,842 euros against 1,105 for a Classic on a January 2027 night.

Questions people ask

Good questions about Orient Express La Minerva vs Bvlgari Hotel Roma

Orient Express La Minerva or Bvlgari Hotel Roma?

Both suit a special occasion. Orient Express La Minerva, a restored 1620 palazzo behind the Pantheon, is for the terrace framing the dome and has no pool; Bvlgari Hotel Roma, at nearly twice the rate, is for serious spa days, with a 20 metre pool shared with paying members.

Is Orient Express La Minerva worth it?

Book it for the address and the roof: a 1620 palazzo behind the Pantheon, restored rather than flattened, with a terrace that frames the dome. Pay for a view category with your eyes open, because below the suites the only rooms the hotel says face the Pantheon are some of the Deluxe Rooms, and none of those is guaranteed. Eat downstairs at least once. A brand-new luxury hotel inside a 1620 palazzo one street behind the Pantheon, run to a very high finish and priced accordingly. The design and the rooftop are the point, and you will be a short walk from everything rather than tucked away from anyone.

Does Orient Express La Minerva have a pool or a beach?

There is no pool. There is no beach; the nearest is a drive away.

Is Bvlgari Hotel Roma worth it?

Book it for the natatio and the spa above all, and for a building that says exactly what it is. Rome has older and warmer hotels for less money; this one is for a guest who wants the pool, the marble and the address, and will pay for them. Rates that start near 2,000 euros a night, in a contemporary interior behind a 1930s facade, run with almost no rough edges and photographed constantly. The spa and its mosaic pool are the reason to be here, not the patina you get in an older Roman hotel.

Does Bvlgari Hotel Roma have a pool or a beach?

It has an indoor pool. There is no beach; the nearest is a drive away.
