Soho Comedy Factory is an independent comedy club that puts on stand-up seven nights a week at The Coach House, a pub at 7 Oxendon Street, two minutes' walk from Piccadilly Circus. The shows are in a room on the first floor, up one flight of stairs, with a bar downstairs. The club says it has been named by the Evening Standard among London's affordable comedy clubs, and Fever says recent acts have included Kevin Bridges, Phil Wang and Harriet Kemsley; most nights, though, the line-up is drawn from the working UK circuit.
A show is a host plus four to six comedians doing shorter sets, with a short interval to top up your drink, and lasts about 1 hour 45 minutes; Fever lists two hours. On Saturdays the club books five comedians for its 19:00 and 21:00 headline shows, and the 17:00 Saturday show is a separate bill. The room is air-conditioned, seats are unreserved, and you can take drinks up from the bar, which opens an hour before the show; drinks bought elsewhere are not allowed. Ticket holders get 10 per cent off food at the venue.
Doors to the comedy room open 10 minutes before the start, but the club suggests arriving about 30 minutes early to buy a drink and choose a seat. There is no pressure to take part: the club says that if you would rather not be spoken to from the stage, sit a few rows back.
Times on Fever on 30 October 2026: Monday to Wednesday 19:30, Thursday 20:00, Friday 20:00, Saturday 17:00, 19:00 and 21:00, and Sunday 19:00, with a later second start on Monday to Thursday also listed. Fever had sessions loaded to 31 August 2027.
Why this one
This is the comedy night to book for value and convenience in the West End. It held 4.8 from 513 reviews on Fever on 30 October 2026, and the reviews keep coming back to the same points: good value, a varied line-up, and a small room where you are close to the stage. It runs every night, so it fits around a theatre trip or a late arrival, and it is a few minutes' walk from Hazlitt's.
Fever versus booking direct, on 30 October 2026: Fever charged 10 pounds from Sunday to Thursday and for the Saturday 17:00 show, and 14 pounds on Friday and Saturday evenings, with no booking fee. The club's own site sells Monday to Wednesday at 8 pounds, Thursday and Sunday at 10 pounds and Friday and Saturday at 14 pounds, plus a 1 pound booking fee per ticket. So direct is 1 pound cheaper on Mondays to Wednesdays (9 pounds against 10), and Fever is 1 pound cheaper on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. If you hold a Go City London All-Inclusive or Explorer pass, Go City lists the club as included.
The obvious rival is the long-running Comedy Store, a few doors along at 1a Oxendon Street, with its own house shows such as The Comedy Store Players; its prices are shown per date on its own site. For comedy on the river, Comedy on the Thames on the Tattershall Castle, a boat moored on Victoria Embankment, held 4.6 from 2,316 reviews on Fever on 30 October 2026, at 23 pounds, runs for about two and a half hours and, on Fridays and Saturdays, is followed by a nightclub until 02:00; its tickets are final. Choose it for the setting; choose Soho Comedy Factory for the price and the choice of nights.
For a bigger night out, see our cocktail show, Moonshine Saloon, or our murder-mystery dinner, The Murdér Express. For a calmer evening a short walk away, the Candlelight concerts play at Central Hall Westminster.
