Hollywood Burbank pick-up points: taxis, ride apps and shuttles
Hollywood Burbank moved into its new terminal on 13 October 2026, and every pick-up point moved with it. The good news is that it kept what made Burbank easy: one terminal, one kerb, and nothing more than a road crossing between baggage claim and your ride. This is where each kind of ride collects at the new building, from the airport's own ground transportation map.
The 30-second version
Come out of baggage claim, on the right of the main terminal, and cross the road to the parking structure. Taxis wait at the western end of its ground-level kerb, hotel and off-airport parking shuttles in the middle, and the airport's own shuttles to the rental cars, buses and the South train station at the eastern end. Uber and Lyft collect in their own rideshare lot just east of the terminal. Friends collecting you cannot wait at the kerb: they park in the short-term structure, $9 for the first hour.

Main terminal: across the road, parking structure ground level
- Taxi
Taxi pick-up at the western end of the parking structure's ground-level kerb, across the road from the terminal
Use the crossing in front of the main entrance and turn left. The airport lists three taxi companies, United Taxi, LA City Cab and Beverly Hills Cab; fares are metered.
- Hotel shuttle
Shuttle stop on the parking structure's ground-level kerb, between the taxi rank and the airport shuttle stop
This is the stop for hotel courtesy shuttles, off-airport parking shuttles and crew transport. Several local hotels run their own buses; ask yours whether it serves the airport before you fly.
- Car hire

Ten hire-car brands share the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC). The airport's shuttle between the RITC and the terminal runs continuously from 05:00 to 23:00.
- Bus
Transit Center on the ground level of the RITC, reached by the airport shuttle from the eastern stop
Two Metro Bus lines and BurbankBus stop here; BurbankBus links the airport with Downtown Burbank and the Metro North Hollywood station on weekdays. More Metro Bus stops are on Hollywood Way and Empire Avenue.
- Train
Burbank Airport-South station (Metrolink Ventura County Line and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner), by the shuttle from the eastern stop
The free on-demand shuttle runs 05:00–22:00 daily; call 818.565.1308 when you are ready to leave the terminal. Metrolink to Union Station takes 22–27 minutes and costs $7.25.
- Friends collecting you
Short-term parking structure, across the road from the terminal
No waiting is allowed at the terminal kerb. Whoever collects you parks here and meets you in baggage claim: $9 for the first hour, $5 for each further 30 minutes, $49 a day, open 24 hours.
Being picked up by a friend: where to wait and what it costs
No. The airport allows pick-ups at the terminal kerb but no waiting, so a driver can only stop if you are already standing there. The alternative it recommends is the short-term parking structure across the road: park, walk over and meet you in baggage claim. The first hour is $9, then $5 for each 30 minutes, to a daily maximum of $49, with the City of Burbank parking tax included.
Burbank is small enough that this rarely means a long wait: the carousels are on the right-hand side of the main terminal, a short walk from every gate.

Meeting a pre-booked driver
At Burbank booked cars and limousines collect in the short-term parking structure rather than at the kerb, so agree a meeting point with your driver before you land; baggage claim is the natural one. The drive is short to most of our hotels in this part of the city: The Garland is about 13 minutes away and The Hollywood Roosevelt about 19.
Late at night
The airport's shuttle to the rental cars runs until 23:00 and the South station shuttle until 22:00; the North station shuttle runs until 00:30, but Metrolink does not run all day, so check the timetable first. After those hours the taxi rank and the rideshare lot are the ways out, or a driver booked in advance who knows your flight is late.
Accessible pick-up
The new terminal was built to current ADA standards. For a wheelchair or a skycap, ask your airline or use any white courtesy phone in the terminal; the wheelchair dispatch line is 818.795.6087. Accessible parking is in the short-term structure, where a lift serves every level, and the shuttles from Economy Lot C are wheelchair accessible.
