Something different
Can't decide?
Two of a kind, side by side: who each suits, what each costs, and when to do both.
- Siam Park or Loro Parque? Both cost the same and both fill a day, so let where you stay and who is with you decide: Siam Park for slides and sun in the south, Loro Parque for animals and gardens in the north. With small children, Loro Parque; with teenagers, Siam Park.
- Travelin' Lady or the no-chase whale boat? For the same 90 minutes and about the same price, the swim decides it: Travelin' Lady if you want one, the no-chase boat for a calmer trip that is all about the animals. Both look for the same pilot whales and dolphins, which live off this coast all year.
- Teide at sunset: stargazing or the Mustang?Same mountain, same sunset, two different evenings: the stargazing tour for the sky, at well under a third of the price, and the Mustang for the drive. Both are cold after dark, so whichever you book, bring a warm layer.
- Kayak and snorkel, or a first scuba dive? Both look for turtles off the south coast and neither can promise them, so let age and appetite decide: the kayak for fit swimmers of 14 and over who want three hours on the water for 38 euros, the try dive for a first breath underwater from age 8, for 75 euros.
- Teide by cable car, or by jeep? Both fill about seven hours with pickup, so let what you want from the day decide: the cable car tour for the height and the view from 3,555 metres, from 92 euros, the jeep safari for the mountain villages and Masca, from 68 euros.
How we hand-pick them
The way we pick hotels. First, the experiences worth a day of your trip. Then, for each, we compare the versions on sale, read the fine print and the reviews that complain, check the weather month by month and work out the drive from our hotels, and keep only the one we would book. None of them pays to be here.
If you book through our links we may earn a commission from GetYourGuide. It never affects which experiences we include. Operators cannot pay to be here.
