Candlelight: Tribute to Queen and The Beatles
St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church, Brooklyn Heights
4.9/5
About 45 reviews on Fever
Six Beatles songs and seven by Queen, from Here Comes the Sun to Bohemian Rhapsody, played by a string quartet by candlelight at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church in Brooklyn Heights. Two evenings at 18:30, from 38.34 dollars with fees.
This is one of the two best-rated Candlelight shows in New York on our list, 4.9 from 45 reviews on Fever on 29 October 2026, and it plays only twice: Friday 13 November 2026 and Friday 22 January 2027, both at 18:30. The Highline String Quartet opens with The Beatles, Here Comes the Sun, Blackbird, Help, Come Together, Yesterday and All You Need Is Love, then turns to Queen: Love of My Life, Another One Bites the Dust, I Want to Break Free, We Are the Champions, We Will Rock You, Radio Ga Ga and Bohemian Rhapsody to close.
The Beatles half suits a quartet from the first bar: Yesterday was recorded with a string quartet in 1965, and Blackbird and Here Comes the Sun are small, melodic songs that work at chamber scale. Queen's half supplies the weight, and Bohemian Rhapsody, the closer, is the piece singled out in Fever reviews. Fever says the concert is a tribute and is not associated with or endorsed by either band.
Queen fans have a second choice: Queen vs. ABBA at the Church of the Heavenly Rest shares four of these Queen songs and costs less, from 30.78 dollars. This show is the one for St. Ann & the Holy Trinity, an 1847 Gothic Revival church in Brooklyn Heights with its original stained glass, Court St station at the corner and 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge a 17-minute walk away. The 13 November date is the cheaper, from 38.34 dollars against 45.90 in January. For doors, zones and the format, see our full guide to Candlelight in New York.
