Paris Charles de Gaulle pick-up points: taxi, Uber and drivers by terminal
Charles de Gaulle has three terminals and Terminal 2 alone has seven halls, each with its own doors, ranks and pick-up zones. Knowing the exact door saves a long walk with a trolley. These are the pick-up points as the airport, Uber and the hotel shuttle operators give them, terminal by terminal, with what a friend collecting you pays.
The 30-second version
Official taxis wait only at the rank outside each terminal's arrivals exit (Terminal 1 door 24, 2E door 10, 2F door 11 and so on), at a fixed €56 to the Right Bank and €65 to the Left Bank. Uber and other ride apps pick up at set doors, mostly on the arrivals level, and the app shows the exact spot. A friend collecting you should use the terminal car park, where the first 10 minutes are free and the next 20 cost €5, rather than the drop-off zone, where half an hour costs €20.

If you arrive by TGV or Eurostar, take the lifts to level 5 and follow the Taxis signs.
Being picked up by a friend: where to wait and what it costs
Stopping in front of the terminals is not allowed outside the drop-off zones and the terminal car parks. Both are free for the first 10 minutes. In a drop-off zone, signed in orange, each minute after that costs €1, so half an hour costs €20, and a car left for more than an hour and a half is towed. In the terminal car park the next 20 minutes cost just €5. For anyone meeting a flight, the car park is the answer: the arrivals board and baggage wait easily take more than 10 minutes.
In 2E there are two separate zones: drivers collecting a passenger use the Arrivées Minute zone, not the departures drop-off. Pay at the exit machines by card only (Visa, Mastercard, American Express).
- First 10 minutes
- Free, drop-off zone or car park
- 30 minutes in a drop-off zone
- €20
- 30 minutes in a terminal car park
- €5
Meeting a pre-booked driver or Uber Reserve
A booked driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a name sign and follows your flight, so a delay costs nothing. Give your terminal and hall, as Terminal 2 halls are up to a shuttle ride apart. With Uber Reserve, UberX, Comfort and UberXL drivers wait up to 45 minutes after landing before late fees start, and Black and Premier drivers 60 minutes. The airport also recommends a pre-booked taxi when the rank is busy: G7, Alpha Taxis and Hype Taxis take bookings, and a van carries up to seven people.
Late at night
Official taxis serve the ranks 24 hours a day at the same fixed fares. The RER B leaves the airport until around midnight and CDGVAL runs between terminals from 04:00 to 01:00. After that, the Noctilien N140 and N143 buses link the terminals with Gare de l'Est. The drop-off zones are open only from 03:30 to 00:30, so a friend collecting a late flight should use the terminal car park.
Accessible pick-up
Ask your airline for assistance at least 48 hours ahead and an assistant will take you from the aircraft to the kerb, free. Secure drop-off spaces for cars with a disabled parking card are at Terminal 1 exit 22, Terminal 2C exit 4 and Terminal 2D exit 5. Paris taxis may not charge for carrying a wheelchair.
Terminal names change in 2027
From 16 March 2027, Paris Aéroport will number the CDG terminals 1 to 7 instead of 1, 2A to 2G and 3, and rename the car parks to match. Until then, the names on this page are the ones on the signs.
