Guacimeta, Aena's lounge for Lanzarote Airport, is a step away from the busy departures hall: a bright white room with big windows, armchairs and café tables, and an open-air terrace where the Lanzarote sun keeps you company until it is time to fly.
The pass covers snacks with hot and cold drinks, coffee, tea, juices and soft drinks, and alcoholic drinks too, with Wi-Fi, a computer, television, newspapers and magazines, and flight screens. Aena adds kosher, halal, gluten-free and special-diet food, a rest area and power for your devices.
It is also beautifully placed, opposite gates 1 and 2 and next to the shops and restaurants, so the walk to your flight is short.

Why this lounge
There is no other lounge at the airport. Guacimeta is the one place in Terminal 1 for a proper seat, a drink and fresh air without fighting for a café table, and it serves Schengen and non-Schengen flights alike, so UK and Irish passengers use it too.
This pass books a 3-hour visit, the lounge's maximum, with free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead and the option to reserve now and pay later. No separate reservation is needed at the lounge: show your booking and boarding pass at the desk.

Before you book
It can fill up
The listing says that if the lounge is temporarily full, you can wait for a seat or contact customer service to cancel for a refund.
What to do. On a busy changeover day, arrive early in your window rather than at the last minute.
Check the hours against your flight
Aena gives the lounge's hours as 06:00 to 22:00, or until the last scheduled flight, and the stay is up to three hours before your departure.
What to do. Pick an arrival time inside those hours, and within three hours of take-off, before you book.
No gate announcements
Aena does not announce flights at Lanzarote over the public address system, and UK and other non-Schengen flights still go through passport control.
What to do. Keep an eye on the screens in the lounge and leave in good time for the gate.
