Candlelight: Tribute to Adele

Adele was born in Tottenham, London, according to Wikipedia, and her ballads are some of the most natural material in the Candlelight catalogue: slow, big melodies that strings can sing without a voice. Fever's programme has 13 songs and takes in all four of her albums, according to Wikipedia. From 19 (2008) come Chasing Pavements and her cover of Bob Dylan's Make You Feel My Love; from 21 (2011), Rolling in the Deep, Someone Like You, Set Fire to the Rain and Rumour Has It; from 25 (2015), Hello, When We Were Young, Water Under the Bridge and Send My Love (To Your New Lover); and from 30 (2021), Easy On Me. Skyfall, the James Bond theme that won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, is in the middle.

The slow ballads, Someone Like You and Make You Feel My Love among them, give the cello and viola long lines to carry, and Skyfall, a film theme, sits naturally on strings.
