Why this one
The cheapest rooms are all in the main house and differ by size and balcony: the Superior is about 400 sq ft (37 m²), the Deluxe is 525 sq ft (49 m²), and each can be had with a private balcony. The Bungalow Room moves you out of the house and into the gardens. At $1,414 on a Tuesday in early December 2026 it was $323 more than the Superior and $93 more than the Deluxe, which is 50 sq ft larger, so what you pay for is the setting: a quiet, private room in the garden, a double basin, a deep bath with a separate shower, and a room the hotel calls ideally suited to longer stays.
The gap widens with the calendar. On a Tuesday in late January 2027 the Bungalow Room was $1,838 against $1,307 for the Superior, $531 more. It was still the lowest-priced bungalow category, and the garden setting is what the hotel's bungalows have offered since the first five went up in 1915.
- Ask for
- Ask for your bed when you book, since the Bungalow Room is sold with a king bed or two double beds. Ask for a room as far from the lobby work as the hotel can place you. The hotel publishes no floor or wing for any category, so a position is a request, not a promise. Families who want connecting rooms should look at the Superior or the Deluxe, which the hotel lists with connecting rooms.
- Avoid
- Any room beside the building work at the lobby while it is still running. The Deluxe Room with Balcony, at $1,598, costs $184 more than the Bungalow Room: it buys a balcony in the main house where the Bungalow Room buys the garden. If you would rather be in the main house than on a garden path, the Deluxe Room at $1,321 is the larger and cheaper alternative.
Suites against rooms
The Beverly Hills Bungalow Suite is the suite that matches the pick: about 655 sq ft (61 m²) in the gardens, with a separate living room, a working fireplace and a private veranda, at $3,655 against $1,414 for the Bungalow Room.
The hotel sells more categories that carry no rate in the ladder. For outdoor space of your own there are the Bungalow Room with Patio, about 565 sq ft (52 m²), the Bungalow Studio with Balcony, about 545 sq ft (51 m²), the Deluxe Room with Patio, about 525 sq ft (49 m²), and the Beverly Hills Suite with Patio, about 780 sq ft (72 m²). Above them come the Garden Suite, about 825 sq ft (77 m²) with a kitchenette and a working fireplace, the Rodeo Bungalow Suite at 925 sq ft (86 m²), the Crescent Suite at 1,050 sq ft (98 m²), the Grand Deluxe Suite at 1,100 sq ft (102 m²), the Crescent Bungalow Suite at 1,180 sq ft (110 m²), the Rodeo Suite at 1,265 sq ft (117 m²), the Premier Suite at 1,425 sq ft (132 m²), the Paul R. Williams Suite at 1,445 sq ft (135 m²) and the Presidential Suite at 1,935 sq ft (180 m²), plus a Presidential Bungalow and named bungalows, among them Bungalow 1, which was Marilyn Monroe's.

Our verdict
Book The Beverly Hills Hotel for the Polo Lounge, the pool and a building that has set the tone for Beverly Hills since 1912 and been pink since 1948, and choose a garden Bungalow Room over a bigger room in the main house. Budget for tax and $70 parking, and expect to drive to the beach and to Hollywood.
