Which room to book at citizenM New York Bowery
The Guest room, 1 King, Premium view. Every room in the building is the same 150 sq ft (14 m²) with the same XL king bed under the same wall-to-wall window, so the only thing the ladder changes is what is outside the glass, and the Premium view is the only category sold on its outlook.

Why this one
Every category here is the same room. All four are about 150 sq ft (14 m²), with one XL king bed across the width under a wall-to-wall window, a rain shower in a glass pod, a basin in the room and an iPad for the lights, blinds, temperature and TV. There are no suites, no larger rooms and no twins, so the ladder is not about space at all: it is about where in the tower the room sits and what the window looks at. On a Tuesday night in late January 2027, the entry Guest room, 1 King is $179, the High floor $185 and the Premium view $195, before tax, and the hotel adds no nightly fee on top.
That makes the Premium view the one step worth paying for. It is the only category sold on its outlook, a panorama over Manhattan from a middle to high floor, and only a few rooms have it. The High floor room promises height but nothing about the view, and the entry room promises neither, which matters more than usual in a room where the window is the whole of one wall and the bed runs along beneath it. For $16 more than the entry room, it is the step that makes 150 sq ft feel like Manhattan.
- Ask for
- The Premium view already promises a middle to high floor, so the floor is not the thing to ask about; the direction is. The panorama the hotel shows for this category looks south-west over the rooftops of Little Italy and SoHo to One World Trade Center, so if that is the outlook you want, ask for it at the desk when you check in. Every room is the same size whichever way it faces, so asking costs nothing.
- Avoid
- The entry Guest room, 1 King if the view matters, because it carries no promise of floor or outlook. The High floor room is $10 cheaper than the Premium view but buys height without the panorama. And do not book any of them for two friends or a family of four: every category has the one king bed, and no room connects to another.

Our verdict
Book it for the price, the roof and a downtown address you can walk out of, and pay the small step to the Premium view. Treat the room as a well-made bed with a window, and live in the rest of the building.
