Candlelight concerts in Paris

4.7/5

About 19,700 reviews on Fever

A string quartet plays an hour of Queen, Hans Zimmer or Vivaldi among a thousand candles. Book the Queen tribute in the Eiffel Tower's first-floor salon, from 63 euros with fees, or the same format at Maison de l'Océan from 19.95.

  • Duration: 1 hourStart times show in the calendar

Candlelight is Fever's own concert format, and Paris runs more of it than almost anywhere: on 30 October 2026 Fever's Paris page listed more than 50 Candlelight programmes. The idea is the same in every room. The stage and the aisles are filled with candles, a string quartet or a pianist sits among them, and for about 60 minutes they play the music of one artist or one theme: Queen, Hans Zimmer, Coldplay, Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Ludovico Einaudi. Every programme is a tribute, and Fever says plainly on each listing that it is not associated with or endorsed by the artist. You hear Bohemian Rhapsody arranged for two violins, viola and cello, not Queen.

The Eiffel Tower evening starts on the ground. Fever asks you to be at the foot of the tower at least an hour before the concert, to pass the security checks and then go to Entrance 2, near Avenue de la Bourdonnais, for a lift reserved for Candlelight: at 17:00 for an 18:00 concert and at 19:30 for 20:30. The lift ride is included in the ticket. The concert is in the Salon Gustave Eiffel, a glass-walled room on the tower's first floor, which stands about 57 metres above the Champ de Mars. Fever promises a panoramic view over Paris, and reviewers mention the glass room and the city at night as much as the music.

The other two rooms are on the Left Bank and need no lift. Maison de l'Océan, at 195 rue Saint-Jacques, is the Institut océanographique that Prince Albert I of Monaco founded in 1906; Henri-Paul Nénot, the architect of the Sorbonne, built it as a brick and stone Italian Renaissance palace between 1908 and 1911, and it has been a listed historic monument since 2004. Fever's concerts are in its Grand Amphithéâtre. The Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles, the national school for blind young people on Boulevard des Invalides, holds most of Fever's piano evenings in a building finished in 1844.

In every room, doors open 30 minutes before the start and nobody is let in once the music begins. Seats are not numbered: you buy a zone and take any free seat in it as you arrive. The candles are electric, for safety, a detail several reviewers mention, so nothing smokes or drips.

Why this one

The one we would book first is Candlelight Signature: Tribute to Queen in the Salon Gustave Eiffel. It is the most-reviewed of the Eiffel Tower programmes on Fever on 30 October 2026, 4.7 from 601 reviews, and it plays at 18:00 on eight dates between 6 November 2026 and 27 February 2027, from 63 euros with Fever's 5 percent booking fee. The price is the choice to make. The same format, often the same programme, costs from 19.95 euros with fees at Maison de l'Océan: what the extra 40 euros or so buys at the tower is the room itself, a candlelit concert inside the most famous monument in Paris, with the city outside the glass and a lift ride to the first floor included. For a first or only trip to Paris we think that is worth it; for a second Candlelight, or for a family of four, Maison de l'Océan is the better buy. Shangri-La Paris is a 14-minute walk from the tower. The other Eiffel programmes rate 4.6 to 4.7: Hans Zimmer (327 reviews), Ludovico Einaudi on piano (164), Coldplay vs. Imagine Dragons (149) and Vivaldi's Four Seasons (122), from 63.53 to 70.35 euros with fees.

Maison de l'Océan has the largest audiences in our list and its best-rated shows. Its Queen tribute holds 4.7 from 3,522 reviews and starts at 19.95 euros with fees; Hans Zimmer there is the most-reviewed Candlelight in Paris, 4.7 from 4,376, from 22.05 euros; and Coldplay vs. Imagine Dragons and the Bad Bunny tribute share the top rating of our 24 on Fever on 30 October 2026, 4.8, from 1,839 and 372 reviews, from 19.95 and 22.05 euros. Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris is a 6-minute taxi ride or a 22-minute walk away, and Le Grand Mazarin is 8 minutes by taxi. It is also the room with step-free access.

The Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles clears the same bar and is the room for piano. Its Ludovico Einaudi evening holds 4.7 from 1,581 reviews, from 39.38 euros with fees, and its Joe Hisaishi programme 4.7 from 468; it is a 3-minute taxi ride from Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris. We left out the Candlelight Babies concerts at La Bellevilloise, which do not publish a rating that clears our bar, and the one-off nights that have no rating yet.

If you would rather spend an hour on foot, see our page on Les Origines de Paris, the virtual reality walk along the Seine; for an hour underground with a glass in hand, Wine tasting at Les Caves du Louvre.

From our Paris hotels

Times are routed taxi times without traffic from each hotel in our Paris edit to the Eiffel Tower, Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France; in the evening traffic adds to them, and the metro is often as quick. Fever gives Bir-Hakeim (line 6), Trocadéro (lines 6 and 9) and École Militaire (line 8), and RER C at Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel. Shangri-La Paris is a 14-minute walk. Allow for the hour Fever asks you to arrive early. For Maison de l'Océan, 195 rue Saint-Jacques, the taxi times are 6 minutes from Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris and 8 from Le Grand Mazarin or Hôtel Madame Rêve; Fever gives Place Monge (line 7), Cardinal Lemoine (line 10) and RER B at Luxembourg. The Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles is 3 minutes by taxi or a 14-minute walk from Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris, with Duroc (lines 10 and 13) the nearest metro, Fever says.

What guests keep saying

Recurring themes in the tour’s reviews, in our words, never quoted.

Praised

  • The setting: the glass salon high on the Eiffel Tower, or a grand old amphitheatre, by candlelight
  • Musicians who play with feeling and make familiar songs sound new
  • A smooth, friendly welcome, from the lift at the tower to the seats

Complaints

    The catch

    1. The Eiffel Tower needs an hour's head start

Fever asks you to be at the foot of the tower at least an hour before, for the security checks and a lift reserved for Candlelight. Anyone who misses the lift misses the concert.

What to do. Aim to be at the tower by 16:45 for an 18:00 concert, and keep bags small for security.

    2. Seats go first come, first served

Seats are not numbered. You get any free seat in the zone on your ticket, so a group only sits together if it arrives together.

What to do. Arrive when the doors open, 30 minutes before, and arrive as a group.

    3. The fee comes at checkout

Fever lists prices before its 5 percent booking fee, so the 60 euros shown for the Eiffel Tower Queen tribute becomes 63 at checkout, and 19 at Maison de l'Océan becomes 19.95.

What to do. Compare dates in the calendar: zone prices change from date to date.

    4. The cheapest zone at Maison de l'Océan is the top row

Zone D is at the back and top of the amphitheatre; one reviewer sat there against the wall and still heard every note.

What to do. Book Zone C or B there if you want to see the players' hands; the step up is about 10 to 17 euros.

    5. Most tickets are not refundable

Fever lets you change the date or time up to 48 hours before, if there is space. Most listings refund only the flexible cancellation ticket, and the FAQ for the Eiffel Tower Queen tribute says no refunds at all.

What to do. If your plans might move, pick a show that offers the flexible ticket and take it at checkout.
