Candlelight: Christmas music
Maison de l'Océan, Latin Quarter, 5th arrondissement
4.6/5
About 271 reviews on Fever
A string quartet plays carols and baroque Christmas music, from Corelli's Christmas Concerto to O Holy Night, by candlelight at Maison de l'Océan in the Latin Quarter. Six sessions from 17 to 19 December 2026, from 22.05 euros with fees.
This is the one seasonal programme on our Paris list, and it runs for three nights only. Fever's programme mixes carols with two baroque pieces written for winter. Corelli's Christmas Concerto, published in 1714, carries the inscription "made for the night of Christmas", and Vivaldi's Winter is one of the four concertos of The Four Seasons, published in 1725, Wikipedia notes. Around them come Angels We Have Heard on High, O Holy Night, Joy to the World, The Little Drummer Boy and Adeste Fideles, which Fever says are followed by more.
The quartet from the Agence Musicale de Paris plays on 18 and 19 December, Fever says. There are two sessions a night: 19:00 and 21:00 on 17 December, 19:30 and 21:30 on 18 and 19 December. It was rated 4.6 from 271 reviews on Fever on 30 October 2026.
Maison de l'Océan is the 1911 Institut océanographique on Rue Saint-Jacques, and the one Candlelight room in Paris with step-free access, which helps with grandparents and pushchairs alike; children are welcome from age 8. Prices change by session: the 21:30 concert on 18 December is the cheapest, from 22.05 euros in Zone D, and the 19:30 on 19 December the dearest. Zone B, from 40.95 euros on 18 December, is the one we would book. For doors, zones and the rest of the format, see our full guide to Candlelight in Paris.
