Gran Canaria airport pick-up points
Gran Canaria Airport has a single terminal, so every pick-up point is a short walk from baggage reclaim. The one thing to know is the floor: taxis, car hire and drivers are on Floor 0, the arrivals level, but the buses leave from Floor 1, the departures level. Here is where each one is, as Aena and the operators state it, and how to reach it.
The 30-second version
Come out of baggage reclaim into the arrivals hall on Floor 0. A pre-booked driver meets you at the meeting point in the hall; the taxi rank is outside on the same floor; the car hire desks are in the arrivals halls. For Global's buses, go up to Floor 1, Departures. A friend collecting you should park in the P1 car park, one minute's walk from the terminal, and meet you in the arrivals hall or at the P1 meeting point on Floor 2.

Main terminal
- Taxi
Floor 0, outdoor area, at the signed taxi rank
Walk out of the arrivals hall on Floor 0 and follow the taxi signs to the rank outside. Aena advises taking a taxi only from the signed rank and ignoring drivers who offer rides from anywhere else. Taxis run on the Canary interurban meter: €3.85 flag fall and €1.35 a km from 06:00 to 22:00, €4.25 and €1.55 at night and on holidays, plus a €2.10 airport supplement. Ask for a receipt if you need to make a complaint. To book a taxi to meet you, Aena lists the airport taxi lines on +34 928 154 777 and +34 928 837 543.
- Pre-booked driver
Floor 0, arrivals hall, at the meeting point
Once through the baggage reclaim hall and customs, you come out into the arrivals hall on Floor 0. Aena's meeting point is here, and this is where a pre-booked driver waits with your name. CanaryShuttle, a shuttle operator, has its desk in the same hall.
- Bus
Floor 1, Departures, at the Global bus stops
Go up one floor from arrivals to the departures level. Line 60 runs to Las Palmas every 30 minutes from 06:15, then hourly to 23:15: 20 minutes to San Telmo for €2.30 and 30 to Santa Catalina for €2.95. Line 66 runs hourly at half past, 07:30 to 20:30, to Playa del Inglés for €3.50 and the Faro de Maspalomas for €4.05, in 40 minutes. Line 91 runs hourly at about 35 minutes past to Puerto de Mogán, an hour away, for €6.80. Aena lists lines 1, 5, 11, 36 and 90 at the same stops. Pay on board.
- Car hire
Desks on Floor 0, in the international and national arrivals halls; cars in Parking P1, Floor -1, and in the hire-vehicle car park on Floor 0
Aena lists desks for Avis, Cicar, Europcar, Goldcar, Hertz, OK Mobility, Sixt and TopCar in both arrivals halls on Floor 0. Sign the paperwork at the desk, then follow the staff's directions to the car, which the firms keep in the P1 car park on Floor -1 or in the hire-vehicle car park on Floor 0.
- Friends collecting you
General car park P1, opposite the terminal; meeting point on P1 Floor 2
P1 is Aena's main car park: three covered storeys with direct pedestrian access, one minute from the terminal. The ticket is issued automatically as the number plate is read at the barrier, and you pay at the pay station or in the Aena app on the way out. Aena runs a meeting point on Floor 2 of P1, or walk across to the arrivals hall. The car park office is on Floor A, opposite the entrance road.
- Friends collecting you
Long stay car park P2, four minutes from the terminal
P2 is for longer stays, with pedestrian access to the terminal four minutes away; tickets are validated at the manual booth in P1. For a quick collection, P1 is the closer choice.
Being picked up by a friend: where to wait and what it costs
Park in P1, the general car park opposite the terminal. It is covered, one minute's walk from the building, and you never need to book: Aena guarantees entry without a reservation. Take the ticket the barrier issues as it reads your number plate, then walk over to the arrivals hall on Floor 0, where passengers come out of baggage reclaim. If you would rather wait with the car, Aena's meeting point on Floor 2 of P1 is the place to agree.
Pay at the pay station before you return to the car, or pay by phone in the Aena app, which Aena Club members can use with or without a booking. The barrier opens automatically once you have paid. The pay station shows the amount due.

Meeting a pre-booked driver
In the arrivals hall on Floor 0, at the meeting point, as you come out of baggage reclaim. A driver booked ahead follows your flight, so a delay costs nothing, and waits with a name sign. The drive itself is typically 20 to 25 minutes to Las Palmas, about 31 to 32 minutes to Maspalomas and Meloneras, and about 43 minutes to Puerto de Mogán.
If you cannot see your driver, the tourist information desk is in the baggage reclaim hall on Floor 0, and Aena's information line is on +34 913 211 000.
Late at night
The airport is open 24 hours, and the taxi rank on Floor 0 is the fallback at any hour, at night rates from 22:00 to 06:00: €4.25 flag fall and €1.55 a km, plus the €2.10 airport supplement. Line 66 to the south makes its last run at 20:30, and line 60 to Las Palmas runs hourly after 20:45, at 21:15, 22:15 and 23:15. For a late landing in the south, a driver booked ahead is the easy answer.
Accessible pick-up
Yes. Aena's free assistance service runs from signposted meeting points inside and outside the terminal, in the car park, on the arrivals forecourt and in check-in. Book it at least 48 hours ahead through your airline or travel agent, Aena's website or app, by email to sinbarreras@aena.es, or on +34 91 321 10 00 from 07:00 to midnight. P1 and P2 both have spaces for people with reduced mobility. For a full escort through the airport on arrival, Aena also sells Meet & Assist from €149.45 for one adult, booked at least 72 hours ahead.
