Which room to book at Can Ferrereta

The Terrace Suite. At 45 to 50 m² it is 10 to 15 square metres bigger than a Deluxe Room, with a freestanding bath and a dressing area inside and a private garden outside, with sun loungers and an outdoor shower. It is in the new building at the back rather than the old house, which is the trade, and on 11 May 2027 it cost close to twice a Deluxe.

Prices are a guide from our last check, not live rates.

Why this one

The ladder at Can Ferrereta is really two ladders. In the old house, the Deluxe rooms on the first and second floors have the beams, the wooden floors and the stone bathrooms, with the church or the rooftops in the window, and the two Can Ferrereta Suites higher up the price list add French balconies, a freestanding bath and the art, a Miró included. In the new building at the back, the Terrace Suites trade the beams for a garden. Every room below them shares the garden pool and its deck; the Terrace Suite is the room where the afternoon is spent on your own loungers, with your own outdoor shower, instead.

The price is the argument against it. For three nights from 11 May 2027 the Terrace Suite was 1,606 euros a night against 830 for a Deluxe Room, and 290 more than a Can Ferrereta Suite. Between those sit the better-value steps: the Junior Suite, some with very high ceilings and stone arches, and the single Duplex Suite, 65 m² on two levels under an original stone arch, with a private terrace onto the courtyard, for little more than a Junior Suite. If a garden does not matter to you, the Duplex gives the most for the least on this list.

Ask for
The Terrace Suites are on the garden level of the new building at the back, with plain plastered ceilings rather than beams. If beams and stone arches matter more than a garden, book a Can Ferrereta Suite in the old house instead. In a Deluxe Room, ask for the church side if the view matters, because the category is sold with either the church or the rooftops.
Avoid
The Nest if space matters: at 27 m² on the ground floor, looking onto a private-use street, it is the smallest room in the hotel. And a Privilege Room if you are paying for a view, because the category is sold with any of four outlooks, the street among them.

Suites against rooms

Two suites are worth singling out. The Duplex Suite is a single suite of 65 m² on two levels, with ceilings up to 6 metres, a freestanding round bath under an original stone arch and a private terrace onto the Mallorcan courtyard. It costs little more than a Junior Suite for 20 more square metres, and it is the best-value suite in the house.

The other is the Pool Suite, the one room with water of its own: a separate lounge with a guest toilet, a bedroom with a dressing room, and a 70 m² garden with loungers, an outdoor shower, a dining area and a heated pool of 4 by 2 metres, modelled on the safareig, the old Mallorcan washing tank. For three nights from 11 May 2027 it was 2,442 euros a night.

Our verdict

Can Ferrereta earns its place on the house, the art and the garden pool, in a real town rather than a resort. Book the Terrace Suite for a garden of your own, and keep a car for the coves.
