Two things decide it. The season: six of the seven close for the winter, so from late November to early March the choice is Es Princep in Palma. And who else is in the water: Maristel takes guests aged 16 and over, Can Ferrereta adults and children over 14, and Castell Son Claret keeps its spa for over-14s, while Cap Vermell, Four Seasons and, in summer, La Residencia run kids' clubs, so parents can book a treatment while the children are busy.
The spa at Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor opened in 2025: 600 m² with seven treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room and a vitality pool. Around it are two outdoor pools, one for families and one kept for adults, and, at the foot of the garden steps, Platja de Formentor, nearly a kilometre of public, pine-shaded sand where the hotel sets out loungers for its guests. From May, a morning treatment can sit between a swim in the bay and lunch on the beach at Llum i Sal.
Parents can book a treatment without a babysitter: Kids For All Seasons is free, every day from 10am to 5pm, and teenagers have a room of their own until 9pm. The hotel opens from mid-March to the end of October, and late March costs about half the May rate.

Garden-View Room with Plunge Pool
49 m²€2,396 a night
A plunge pool of your own on an extended terrace that steps straight out to the gardens and pools: the room for a week of swimming and treatments, if the bay view matters less.
La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel has a spa of six treatment rooms, three of them with their own terraces, with a heated indoor pool, a sauna, a steam room, an ice bath and a gym, and outdoor pools in the grounds as well. The Tramuntana building, home of the Deluxe and Executive Junior Suites, is set into the hillside above it. Treatments are priced to match the hotel: a 50-minute signature treatment is 185 euros, and massages of 50 to 80 minutes run from 210 to 280.
It suits a slow week of walking and being looked after. The GR 221 runs through Deià, the village church is about 5 minutes on foot, and the Smile Club takes children aged 4 to 12 from May to September. It is shut from mid-November to mid-March, and March, April and early November are its cheapest times.

Deluxe Junior Suite
50 to 55 m²€2,655 a night
It is in the Tramuntana building above the spa, with a large tiled terrace facing Deià, a four-poster king and a bathroom with an oversize bath and a separate rain shower.
Can Ferrereta's spa, Sa Calma, is small and complete: a 10-metre heated indoor pool, a hammam, a sauna and three treatment rooms, inside an 18th-century manor in the middle of Santanyí. Out in the garden, the dark green 25-metre pool, with a Plensa head beside it, is the one for lengths.
The house takes adults and children over 14 only, so nobody at the pool or in the spa is younger. The season shapes the trip: the hotel opens from early March to late November, March and November cost roughly half what May does, and the heated indoor pool keeps a cool spring or autumn day on track. Breakfast and dinner are at Ocre, in the old wine cellar, and the Wednesday and Saturday market is three minutes' walk away.

Terrace Suite
45 to 50 m²€1,606 a night
A freestanding bath inside and a private garden with sun loungers and an outdoor shower, so the hours between spa sessions are spent on your own loungers.
Maristel Hotel & Spa earns the second half of its name. Its spa has a heated indoor pool with a swan-neck cascade, bubble jets and a counter-current, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath and sensory showers, used as a one-hour thermal circuit booked at reception. Massages with the hotel's therapists are booked and paid for separately. The small outdoor pool, with its bar, looks down the valley to a wedge of sea.
It has the lowest starting price on this list, typically about 135 euros a night, and guests are 16 and over. Spa access comes with some rates and not others, so choose one that includes it. The hotel opens from early March to around the third week of November, with its cheapest weeks in March and from late October, which is when a warm indoor pool is most welcome.

Dreaming Sea
about 25 m²€199 a night
Bay windows looking down the valley to the sea, a 210 cm king and a bath to end the day after the thermal circuit, with a balcony in almost every room.
Castell Son Claret's spa, Bellesa de Claret, has treatment rooms, a hammam, a sauna, a cold plunge and an indoor pool, and it is kept for guests aged 14 and over, so it stays calm in a hotel that welcomes children. The gym, in House 10, is open 24 hours. The outdoor pool, past the Olivera terrace and its view across the valley to the mountains, opens from 10:00 to 18:00 in spring and from 8:00 to 20:00 from June, its water as warm as the weather makes it.
The estate does the rest of the unwinding: 132 hectares of Tramuntana foothills, a palm avenue nearly 200 metres long and breakfast in every room rate. It closes from mid-November to mid-March, and 2027 stays are sold for three nights or more, the right length for a spa break.

Deluxe Double
37 m²€723 a night
37 m² in the castle under wooden beams, with windows over the gardens or the hillside; the steps above it buy outdoor space, so the difference is better spent in the spa.
Cap Vermell Grand Hotel puts its spa inside a resort laid out like a Mallorcan hill village. Serenitas Spa has treatment rooms and a rose quartz sauna, with massages, facials and body treatments, a suite for two and a treatment on a bed of quartz sand. The hotel's pools are outdoor ones on the slope above the Canyamel valley, and the estate's Country Club, 8 minutes' walk away, has a heated 25-metre indoor pool, a sauna and a Turkish bath.
It works for parents too: the kids' club is free for children aged 4 to 11, so a massage does not need a babysitter. The rooms start with junior suites of 53 m², each with a terrace and a Carrara marble bathroom with a separate bath and shower. It opens from late March to the end of October, and April and late October are its cheapest weeks.

Junior Suite Valley View
53 m²€616 a night
The same 53 m² and marble bathroom with a separate bath as the cheaper junior suites, with the terrace facing across the green Canyamel valley for the hour after a treatment.
Es Princep is the one hotel on this list open all year, and its spa comes with every room. Coco Spa has an 18-metre indoor pool, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a hot tub and a salt room, open every day from 9am to 9pm, and its beauty therapists offer facials, pedicures, scalp massages and full-body exfoliation. On the roof, a small heated pool kept for hotel guests looks over the Bay of Palma, with the cathedral above the old-town roofs.
That makes it the winter spa: rates are lowest in winter, February especially, when the other six here are closed. It is also a city one. The cathedral is 11 minutes on foot, Parc de la Mar begins 3 minutes away below the walls, and from March to October Zaranda, with one MICHELIN star, is downstairs.

Every category includes the spa, so spend the step up on the window: 30 m², and the first category that faces the sea head on, over the bastion and the pines.
Can Cera's compact spa, with a Finnish sauna, a steam room and a hot tub, can be booked for the two of you alone, free of charge: a private hour in an 18th-century house in Palma's old town, open all year.
Es Princep, in Palma's old town, is the one on this list open all year, with its rates lowest in winter, February especially, and its spa open every day from 9am to 9pm. Can Cera, also in Palma and open all year, has a small spa you can reserve for yourselves. The other six close for the winter: Four Seasons and Cap Vermell at the end of October, La Residencia and Castell Son Claret in mid-November, Maristel around the third week of November and Can Ferrereta in late November, reopening between early and late March.
Are there adults-only spa hotels in Mallorca?
Two on this list set an age limit for the whole hotel. Maristel Hotel & Spa takes guests aged 16 and over, and Can Ferrereta takes adults and children over 14, so nobody younger is in its spa or at its pool. Castell Son Claret welcomes children, but its spa, Bellesa de Claret, and its starred restaurant, Sa Clastra, are for over-14s. In Palma, Can Cera takes no guests under 14, and its spa can be reserved for your own use.
Which spa hotels in Mallorca have a kids' club?
Three on this list. Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor runs a free kids' club every day from 10am to 5pm, with a teenagers' room open until 9pm. Cap Vermell Grand Hotel's kids' club is free for children aged 4 to 11. La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel runs the Smile Club for children aged 4 to 12 from May to September. At all three, you can book a treatment while the children are at the club.
Is spa access included in the room rate?
It depends on the hotel. At Es Princep the spa comes with every room. At Maristel Hotel & Spa, entry is a one-hour thermal circuit booked at reception, included in some rates and not in others, with massages paid separately. Can Ferrereta's spa takes reservations for everything, so book ahead. At La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, a 50-minute signature treatment is 185 euros and massages of 50 to 80 minutes cost 210 to 280. Check what your rate includes before you pay.
How did you choose these hotels?
Independently, through extensive research, trusted sources and first-hand visits. Hotels cannot pay to be included, and every one of the ten has to exist for a different reason.
