Which room to book at Es Princep

The Premium Sea View. At 30 square metres it is the first category sold on a full view of the sea, over the bastion and the pines, and it costs less than the Junior Suite, which does not have one. Below it the rooms face a lane, the city or the sea from the side; above it, two suites on the top floors add space.

Why this one

Es Princep sells seven categories, and what separates them is less the floor area than where the window points. The Standard is 22 square metres on the lower floors, facing a narrow lane; the Superior is 25 and looks over the city; the Deluxe Lateral Sea View, 25 to 30, looks over the old walls with the sea off to one side. The Premium Sea View is 30 square metres and the first category sold on a full view of the sea, across the bastion and the tops of the pines to the water about 200 metres off. For Tuesday 11 May 2027 it was 801 euros a night against 511 for the Standard and 679 for the Deluxe Lateral: 290 euros for the sea in front of you, or 122 more than the side view.

Above it the ladder turns uneven. The Junior Suite, at 894 euros, is 35 square metres on the first two floors facing the old town or the walls, so it costs more than the Premium Sea View and gives up the sea for five square metres. The sea comes back with the two top-floor suites, at 1,446 and 1,960 euros. Every category includes the spa, and every guest shares the roof, which has the open bay and the cathedral; the room decides only what you wake up to, and at this hotel that should be the sea.

Ask for
The hotel publishes no floor for the Premium Sea View, so there is no floor worth naming. Say at booking that the sea view is the reason for the stay and have the category confirmed in writing, since floor and outlook are requests rather than guarantees until the hotel confirms them.
Avoid
The Junior Suite if you came for the sea: it costs more than the Premium Sea View and looks over the old town or the walls from the first two floors. The Standard and the Superior for the same reason, since one faces a lane and the other the city.

Suites against rooms

Two suites face the sea, both on the top floors. The Junior Suite Sea View is 35 square metres looking over the walls to the sea beyond the pines, at 1,446 euros on 11 May 2027, which is 645 more than the Premium Sea View for five more square metres and a higher floor. The Signature Palma Sea View Suite is 55 square metres with a large bedroom and a separate sitting room, at 1,960 euros, and it is the only category with a second room. Do not confuse either with the plain Junior Suite, which sits on the first two floors and does not face the sea.

Our verdict

Es Princep earns its place on the roof and the windows: the Bay of Palma in front, the cathedral along the walls and a starred dinner downstairs. Pay for a Premium Sea View, because the view is the reason to come and the entry room does not have it.
