Tenerife South Airport lounges

Tenerife South has a single lounge, Aena's Montaña Roja, and one Priority Pass restaurant that stays open all night. The lounge is good, with showers and a terrace, but its position catches people out: it is after security and before the outbound passport check, so on a flight to the UK you still have a queue to clear after you leave it. Here is what each costs and offers, checked against Aena and Priority Pass.

The short answer

Montaña Roja is the only lounge in the building: €45.95 for adults and children from 11, €21.25 for ages 6 to 10, under-6s free, or free with Priority Pass, for up to three hours before your flight. On a non-Schengen flight, including every UK departure, leave it in time to clear passport control. If your flight falls in the lounge's closed hours or you want a proper meal, Priority Pass members get €23 off at Enrique Tomás, airside and open 24 hours.

A restaurant, not a lounge. Priority Pass members swap one lounge visit for €23 off the bill, and €23 more for each registered guest, on food and drink in a single transaction; any balance is paid as normal. Seats are at the restaurant's discretion when it is full.

Hours: 24 hours

  • Iberian ham and cured meats
  • Cheeses
  • Sandwiches and tapas
  • Spanish wines

Iberian ham, cheese and a glass of wine near the gates, and the only Priority Pass option when the lounge is shut.

Best for Priority Pass holders on a late-night or very early flight.

The catch: the lounge is before passport control

Before. Montaña Roja serves Schengen and non-Schengen flights from one room, so it sits after security but before the outbound passport check that every UK, Irish and other non-Schengen flight goes through. Since April 2026, non-EU passports are also recorded leaving under the EU's Entry/Exit System at that desk. Leave the lounge in good time, and remember that Tenerife South makes no public announcements about gates or gate changes: watch the screens.

Is the lounge worth it?

For two adults, Montaña Roja costs €91.90, which buys a lot of lunch at the restaurants upstairs. It earns its price on a long wait, an early start when you want a shower and quiet, or with small children: under-6s go free and 6 to 10-year-olds pay €21.25. Aena's own advice is three hours before a non-Schengen flight, and the lounge lets you stay up to three hours before departure, so you can use most of that time in comfort. Add Aena's €11.10 Fast Lane, bought on the same site, and the whole departure is calm.

The lounge with children

Yes. Under-6s are free, 6 to 10-year-olds pay €21.25, and from 11 they pay the adult €45.95. Priority Pass's rules for the lounge add that under-18s must be with an adult. Outside the lounge, Tenerife South has dedicated security lanes for families with children, which take some of the stress out of the first queue.

With Priority Pass

Yes, in three ways. Montaña Roja admits Priority Pass members, for up to three hours before departure. Enrique Tomás, opposite gates 19 and 20, gives €23 off the bill per visit instead, and is open 24 hours. Priority Pass also lists Aena's Fast Lane at Tenerife South. Each use counts as a visit from your allowance, so check how many your card includes before you take guests.

When the lounge is closed

Montaña Roja opens at 07:00, so it is no use for the first wave of morning flights, and it closes at 21:00 on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The airport itself is open 24 hours. At those times, Enrique Tomás airside and La Boutique Trattoria Viajera before security are both open around the clock, and Fast Lane runs 24 hours too.
