Tenerife South Airport pick-up points
Tenerife South has one terminal, and almost everything you need on landing is on Floor 0, outside arrivals: the taxi rank and the TITSA bus stops share the same kerb. Package-holiday transfers start at the tour operators' desks in the arrivals area, car hire desks are on Floors 0 and 1, and the cars wait outside the building. Here is each pick-up point as Aena and the operators state it.
The 30-second version
Out of baggage reclaim and customs, go to Floor 0 outside arrivals: the signed taxi rank is there, and so are the stops for line 40 to Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje, the 711 night bus and the 343 to Tenerife North. On a package holiday, find your tour operator's desk in the arrivals area. A pre-booked driver meets you in arrivals with a name sign. A friend collecting you parks in the P1 car park, next to the terminal and open 24 hours.

Main terminal
- Taxi
Terminal, Floor 0, Arrivals, at the signed taxi rank
Follow the taxi signs out of arrivals. Aena's advice is to take a cab only from the signed rank and to ignore drivers offering rides anywhere else; ask for a receipt in case of a complaint. Fares are on the Canary interurban meter: €3.85 for the first 1.5 km and €1.35 a km by day, €4.25 and €1.55 at night, on Sundays and holidays, plus €2.10 from the airport. That is about €35 by day to Bahía del Duque.
- Bus
Terminal, Floor 0, Arrivals, TITSA bus stop
Line 40 runs to Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje bus station every 30 to 40 minutes, 06:30–21:40, taking 29 to 44 minutes. The 711 night bus covers 23:18–04:52. Line 343 runs non-stop to Tenerife North in about 50 minutes, four times a day, line 10 goes to Santa Cruz, and line 415 serves El Fraile and San Isidro. Pay on board or with a Ten+ card.
- Pre-booked driver
Arrivals hall, at a meeting point
Aena lists meeting points on Floor 0 in arrivals and on Floor 1 in the arrivals and departures halls. A private transfer driver waits in arrivals with a name sign and tracks the flight, so give them your flight number, not a time.
- Coach
Tour operator desks, arrivals area
If your package includes a transfer, check in at your operator's desk before you look for the coach. Aena lists desks for TUI España, Jumbo Canarias, MTS, Viajes Allsun, World 2 Meet and Go Vacation Spain, and for travel agencies including Viajes Canarias Europa and Viasale Travel.
- Uber and ride apps
The point the Uber app gives when you book
Uber lists Tenerife South among its airports and lets you reserve a pick-up for when you land, with flight tracking. The app shows where to meet; with a lot of luggage, choose a van.
- Car hire
Desks on Floor 0 and Floor 1; cars outside the terminal building
AutoReisen, Cicar, Europcar, Goldcar, Hertz, Record Go and TopCar all have desks in the terminal and collect from outside the building. Hertz also has a desk in the Floor 1 check-in area.
- Friends collecting you
P1 general car park, next to the terminal
Aena's official car park, a few metres from the terminal, open 24 hours, with immediate access to the departures area, covered spaces and electric car chargers. Entry is by number-plate recognition; pay at the machines, at the staffed counter or in the Aena app before driving to the barrier.
Being picked up by a friend: where to wait and what it costs
Use the P1 general car park, the car park Aena lists at Tenerife South, a few metres from the terminal and open 24 hours. No booking is needed: the ticket is issued when the number plate is read at the barrier, and your friend pays for the stay at a pay station, at the counter or in the Aena app, then drives out. Aena publishes no free pick-up period for P1, so allow for a charge, and check the flight before setting off; arrivals from the UK queue for passport control and can take a while. Meet in the arrivals hall rather than at the kerb.

Meeting a pre-booked driver
A private transfer driver meets you in arrivals with your name on a sign, at the meeting point if you have agreed one; Aena lists them on Floor 0 in arrivals and on Floor 1. Book with your flight number so the driver follows a delay, and say how many children and seats you need. For our hillside and west-coast hotels, Royal River, Royal Garden Villas, Abama and Palacio de Isora, this is the simplest arrival: no airport bus goes near them.
Late at night
Yes. The airport is open 24 hours and the taxi rank on Floor 0 keeps working, on the higher night meter from 22:00 to 06:00. The 711 night bus leaves for Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje at 23:18, 23:48, 00:17, 01:02, 01:37, 02:42, 03:22, 04:12 and 04:52, reaching Costa Adeje bus station in 24 to 33 minutes. With children and bags in the small hours, a driver waiting in arrivals is worth the money.
- Last line 40
- 21:40
- 711 night bus
- 23:18–04:52, nine departures
- Night meter
- €4.25 first 1.5 km, then €1.55 a km
Accessible pick-up
Aena's Sin Barreras assistance service, free of charge, meets passengers with reduced mobility at the aircraft door and helps them through the airport. Book it with your airline or with Aena at least 48 hours before you fly. P1 has spaces for people with reduced mobility, and accessible toilets are throughout the terminal.
