Fuerteventura airport transfers

Fuerteventura has one airport, on the east coast just south of Puerto del Rosario, roughly halfway down a long island. Our ten hotels run from 5 minutes away to 78, from Corralejo in the north to Morro Jable at the southern tip. This page sets out every realistic way to each of them, with the Tiadhe bus lines, the official taxi meter and the routed drive to each door.

The short answer

El Mirador is 5 minutes from the terminal and Elba Palace 16, both short taxi rides, about €20 to Elba Palace by day. The three Corralejo hotels are 36 to 38 minutes north, about €55 by taxi, with a direct bus only on some weekday runs of line 6. The five in the south are 64 to 78 minutes away and €95 to €120 by taxi, so a private transfer booked ahead, or a hire car for ZEL and Paradisus at Sotavento, is the answer.

  • FUEFuerteventura (FUE). One terminal just south of Puerto del Rosario: the taxi rank and the car hire desks are on Floor 0 by arrivals, the island buses outside departures on the same floor. El Mirador is 5 minutes away, Corralejo 36 to 38 and Morro Jable 78.

From the airport to our ten hotels

The airport buses in detail

Yes, on some weekday runs. Tiadhe's island buses stop outside departures on Floor 0, the ground floor of the one terminal, a short walk from arrivals. Aena lists three lines there: line 3 to Puerto del Rosario, Caleta de Fuste and Las Salinas, line 10 to Morro Jable and line 16 to Gran Tarajal. Some weekday runs of line 6 also call at the airport between Puerto del Rosario and Corralejo, €3.90; otherwise take line 3 into Puerto del Rosario bus station and change to line 6, €3.40 to Corralejo, about every 30 minutes for much of the day Monday to Saturday and hourly on Sundays.

Pay the driver in cash, with no note over €50 or worth more than five times the fare, or with the BtF card, sold on board for €5, which takes 10% off every fare.

Line 3, to Puerto del Rosario, Caleta de Fuste and Las Salinas
two or three an hour; last buses with airport access leave Puerto del Rosario at 23:00; €1.45 Puerto del Rosario to Caleta de Fuste
Line 6, Puerto del Rosario to Corralejo
about every 30 min for much of the day Monday to Saturday, hourly on Sundays; some weekday runs call at the airport; €3.40, or €3.90 from the airport
Line 10, to Morro Jable
a few times a day; €9.70 from Puerto del Rosario
Paying
cash, no note over €50 or above five times the fare, or the BtF card (€5 on board, 10% off)

Taxi fares from the airport, hotel by hotel

There are no fixed airport fares. Taxis leaving Puerto del Rosario's municipality run on the Canary Government's interurban meter, set by the order of 14 March 2023: a €3.85 minimum that covers the first 1.5 km, then €1.35 a km from 06:00 to 22:00 on working days, and €4.25 and €1.55 at night, on Sundays and on holidays, plus €2.10 for an airport pick-up. Aena advises taking a taxi only from the signed rank on Floor 0 by arrivals and asking for a receipt. The figures below are our estimates from that tariff and the routed distance.

El Mirador de Fuerteventura, 3 km
a short fare on the Puerto del Rosario town meter
Elba Palace Golf, 11 km
about €20 by day, €21 at night
Barceló Corralejo Sands, Corralejo Surfing Colors and Secrets Bahía Real, 36 to 37 km
about €55 by day, €60 at night
ZEL and Paradisus, Sotavento, 69 km
about €95 by day, €110 at night
Royal Palm Resort & Spa, Esquinzo, 80 km
about €110 by day, €130 at night
Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace, 81 km
about €115 by day, €130 at night
Riu Palace Jandía, Morro Jable, 85 km
about €120 by day, €135 at night

Landing late, or with children and luggage

Line 3 runs until 23:00, so El Mirador and Caleta de Fuste stay in reach by bus most evenings. The last line 6 bus leaves Puerto del Rosario at 23:00 Monday to Saturday, but reaching it from a late flight means a change. After that, the taxi rank on Floor 0 works at any hour, on the night rate.

A driver booked ahead follows your flight, so a delay costs nothing, and waits in arrivals with your name. With children and cases on a drive of more than an hour to Jandía or Morro Jable, that is the easy way to start the week.

Sotavento, Esquinzo, Jandía and Morro Jable

Five of our hotels are in the south, down the FV-2. ZEL and Paradisus at Sotavento are 64 minutes by road, Iberostar 72, Royal Palm 74 and Riu Palace Jandía 78. Line 10 goes to Morro Jable a few times a day, €9.70 from Puerto del Rosario. At Sotavento, Tiadhe has suspended the Gorriones stop by ZEL and Paradisus until further notice, so plan on a car or a driver. Nine firms have hire desks in arrivals, and our car hire page covers the deposits and the parking at each hotel.

Going back to the airport

About 36 to 38 minutes by road from Corralejo, 16 from Elba Palace, 5 from El Mirador, 64 from Sotavento and 72 to 78 from Jandía and Morro Jable. Line 6 leaves Corralejo harbour from 06:35 on weekdays and 06:50 at weekends and on holidays, the last at 20:50, and some weekday runs call at the airport. Line 3 returns from Las Salinas through the airport until 23:15 Monday to Saturday and 22:00 on Sundays and holidays. From the south, line 10 runs back from Morro Jable a few times a day; check the day's times on Tiadhe's site before relying on it for a flight.
