Las Vegas airport pick-up points: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3
Harry Reid International has two terminals that work as two separate airports at kerb level, each with its own taxi rank, its own garage and its own ride-app zone, and you cannot walk between them. So the first thing to know is which terminal you land at: Southwest, American, Delta, Allegiant and Sun Country use Terminal 1, and every foreign airline plus United, JetBlue, Alaska and Frontier use Terminal 3. Here is where every kind of ride collects at each.
The 30-second version
Taxis wait right outside baggage claim: Terminal 1 doors 1 to 4, Terminal 3 by door 52, at flat zone fares to the Strip. Uber and Lyft collect in the parking garages, on Level 2 at Terminal 1 and the Valet Level at Terminal 3. Anyone collecting you by car can wait free in the cell phone lot (6am to 1am) and then load at Passenger Pickup on Level 1 of the garage across from your terminal.

Terminal 1 (A, B, C and D gates)
- Taxi
East side of baggage claim, outside exit doors 1 to 4
Airport staff run the queue and every company takes cards. The Nevada Taxicab Authority's flat fares to the Strip are $22.25, $26.25 or $30.25 by zone, plus a $2.40 airport fee, 3% tax and $3 to pay by card.
- Uber and ride apps
Level 2 of the parking garage, to the right after the pedestrian bridge
From baggage claim take the lift near door 2 up to Level 2, cross the pedestrian bridge to the garage and turn right. Uber and Lyft are the authorised apps; ask the driver your name before you get in.
- Pre-booked driver
Baggage claim
If you have booked a car or limousine in advance, the airport says your driver meets you in baggage claim. Walk-up sedans, SUVs, limousines and private shuttles wait on the west side of baggage claim, outside doors 7 to 10, with no booking needed.
- Bus
Covered RTC stop on Level Zero
Take the lift or escalator down from baggage claim, cross at the pedestrian crosswalk and bear right. Route 108 runs up Paradise Road to the Sahara Monorail Station and downtown, and the Red Line also stops here; $2 a ride, $5 for 24 hours.
- Car hire
Rental Car Shuttle stop outside doors 10 and 11, Level 1
Follow the Ground Transportation signs from baggage claim. Free shuttles run to the Rent-A-Car Center at 7135 Gilespie Street, about three miles south; until the end of 2026 the connector tunnel works slow them down.
- Uber and ride apps
Level Zero, for Zoox and Vegas Loop
Zoox's driverless electric cars to selected Strip addresses and Vegas Loop rides both collect on Level Zero; book in the app first.
- Bus
Inter-terminal shuttle stop, Level Zero, across the crosswalk by the covered garage
The free shuttle to Terminal 3 runs about every 20 to 30 minutes and takes about 10. Use it if you land at Terminal 1 but your ride is waiting at Terminal 3.
- Friends collecting you
Passenger Pickup, Level 1 of the parking garage across from the terminal
For immediate loading only, height clearance 8 ft 2 in. A driver who needs to wait can use Short Term parking on Level 1 near Passenger Pickup: 15 minutes free if they drive straight to the exit, then $4 for the first hour.
Terminal 3 (E gates and all international arrivals)
- Taxi
Outside baggage claim near door 52
Airport staff are on hand at the rank. The flat Strip zone fares apply from here too, and the Four Seasons, about nine minutes away, is the cheapest at $22.25 plus fees.
- Uber and ride apps
Valet Level of the parking garage
From baggage claim take the lift near door 52, 54 or 56 up to Level 1, cross the pedestrian bridge to the garage, then take the lift or stairs down to the Valet Level.
- Pre-booked driver
Baggage claim; walk-up limousines on Level Zero at each end of the building
A driver booked in advance meets you in baggage claim. Walk-up private shuttles, SUVs and limousines wait on Level Zero at each end of the terminal.
- Car hire
Rental Car Shuttle stops at both ends of the terminal, Level Zero
Follow the Ground Transportation signs down from baggage claim to Level Zero; free shuttles run to the Rent-A-Car Center.
- Uber and ride apps
Level Zero, for Zoox and Vegas Loop
Zoox and Vegas Loop both collect on Level Zero at Terminal 3 as well as Terminal 1.
- Bus
Inter-terminal shuttle on Level Zero, in the centre of the kerb, then the RTC stop at Terminal 1
There is no public bus at Terminal 3: take the free inter-terminal shuttle to Terminal 1 first, about every 20 to 30 minutes.
- Friends collecting you
Passenger Pickup, Level 1 of the parking garage across from the terminal
Immediate loading only, height clearance 9 ft 4 in. For an international arrival, the airport suggests parking on the east side of the Terminal 3 garage, marked with the club symbol from a deck of cards, which is closest to the international side of the terminal.
Being picked up by a friend: where to wait and what it costs
In the free Cell Phone Lot, a few minutes from the Passenger Pickup kerbs at both terminals, open 6am to 1am. Drivers must stay with the car, and there are no restrooms. When your party has their bags and is at the kerb, drive to Passenger Pickup on Level 1 of the garage across from their terminal, which is for loading only. Waiting on the airport roads or shoulders is not allowed.
To meet someone inside, use Short Term parking in the garage: drive straight out within 15 minutes and it is free; otherwise $4 for up to an hour, $8 for up to two and $5 for each hour after, to $38 a day.
- Cell Phone Lot
- Free, 6am to 1am
- Short Term parking
- 15 minutes free, then $4 the first hour
- Daily maximum
- $38
Meeting a pre-booked driver
Booked cars and limousines meet you in baggage claim at both terminals, so you skip the taxi queue and the walk to the garage. It makes most sense for a late or delayed flight, for a family who need child seats, and for Red Rock Resort in Summerlin, about 25 minutes away on the meter.
Late at night
The taxi ranks are staffed and the flat zone fares do not change with the hour. The Cell Phone Lot closes at 1am, so a friend collecting you after that should use Short Term parking. Route 108's last bus leaves Terminal 1 at 1:35am on weekdays.
Accessible pick-up
Wheelchair help is free: book it with your airline, or dial 7874 from any white courtesy phone. Every rental car shuttle is ADA equipped, with special loading areas at both terminals and at the Rent-A-Car Center. Disabled parking spaces in the garages are next to the lifts.
