Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas opened on 2 March 1999 alongside Mandalay Bay, the brand's first hotel in the city: a hotel inside a casino resort that leaves the casino outside. It has its own driveway off Las Vegas Boulevard, lobby and lifts; its 424 rooms and suites fill floors 35 to 39 of Mandalay Bay's 43-storey tower, and its lobby, restaurants and spa fill a two-storey building on the complex's south side, beside its own pool. Eight months after opening, it became the first Las Vegas hotel to win AAA's Five Diamond award, which it still holds in 2026 alongside One MICHELIN Key for the third year running.
A redesign finished in January 2024 gave every room a desert palette of earth tones, wood and metal; all have floor-to-ceiling windows and a marble bathroom. The Superior Room, about 500 sq ft (46 m²), and the Deluxe Room, 550 sq ft (51 m²) with a deep soaking tub, look at the mountains and the desert; the Stadium View Room, about 560 sq ft (52 m²), looks west over Allegiant Stadium; the Strip View Room, about 500 sq ft (46 m²), looks at the Strip. The Premier Strip View Room has 810 sq ft (75 m²) and 25 feet of glass, and the 81 suites climb to the 3,400 sq ft (316 m²) Penthouse.
The reason to book is what is missing. There is no casino floor, no slot machine and no smoking indoors, and the lifts serve only the Four Seasons floors. The pool is for hotel guests alone: a palm garden with eight cabanas, a hot tub and staff who come round hourly with Evian spritzes, frozen fruit skewers and ice lollies. The Spa and Nail Bar holds a Forbes Five-Star rating for 2026, with eucalyptus steam rooms. When you want Las Vegas, a door leads into Mandalay Bay, whose casino, restaurants, Shark Reef Aquarium and sand-beach pools are open to Four Seasons guests.
The trade is distance and money. It sits at the south end of the Strip: New York-New York is 21 minutes' walk and the Bellagio fountains 39, and the indoor way north runs through Mandalay Bay's casino, so most evenings out start in a taxi. Midweek, rooms start at about $380 a night before tax and a $55 nightly resort fee, and the pool closes for the winter. Book it for the shows and the desert rather than the tables, for a spa weekend, for a family that wants Mandalay Bay Beach by day and a quiet corridor at night, or for a game at Allegiant Stadium. If you want the middle of the Strip outside the door, look elsewhere.
