Why this one
Royal Mansour Marrakech has no rooms, only 53 riads in five categories, each a private house behind its own door, every one with a patio and a roof terrace with a plunge pool, and breakfast included on every rate. The two one-bedroom categories are sold for two: the Superior, 140 m², of which there are 15, and the Premier, 175 m², of which there are 19. Both run over three floors, with the sitting rooms on the ground floor, the bedroom on the first and the pool on the roof.
The Premier is the one to book because the extra 35 m² go where a couple spends its time: a dining room and a bar around the patio, so dinner can be served in the riad, a dressing room behind mashrabiya screens by the bedroom, and a shaded tent beside the roof pool for the hot hours. From 9 March 2027 it was €2,421 a night against €2,300 for the Superior. There are more of them, too, and from 16 to 18 March 2027 it was the smallest riad still free, at €2,778. Above it, the Privilege adds a second bedroom and a butler from €3,988, the step for a family rather than a couple.
- Ask for
- Nothing by position: every riad is decorated differently and the hotel publishes no plan of which terraces see the Atlas. Say whether you want a king bed or twin beds, since both are offered, and if stairs matter, say so when booking, as the one-bedroom riads have no lift.
- Avoid
- The Superior if you want room to dine and sit in, since it has one sitting room on the ground floor; and the Privilege for a couple, since its second bedroom costs about €1,570 a night more than the Premier.
Suites against rooms
Three riads go beyond the one-bedroom categories. The Privilege, 430 m², has two bedrooms joined by a living room, two marble bathrooms, a dining room on the ground floor, a pool, a relaxation tent and a dining area on the roof terrace facing the Koutoubia minaret, and a butler. The four Prestige riads, about 840 m², add a third bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a library, a private hammam and a lift. The single Grand Riad, 1,800 m², has four bedrooms, a private entrance through an olive-tree patio, its own garden and pool, three roof terraces with plunge pools, a cinema and a butler, cook and housekeeper. From 9 March 2027 they cost €3,988, €7,220 and €22,780 a night for the riad, with breakfast.
