The Jardin Majorelle is a walled garden of about 9,000 square metres on Rue Yves Saint Laurent, in Guéliz, a short taxi ride north-west of the Medina. The French painter Jacques Majorelle began planting it in 1922 with cacti, palms, bamboo and water plants gathered from around the world, and painted its buildings the strong blue now named after him. In 1980 Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé bought it to stop a hotel being built on the site, and lived in the villa, which they renamed the Villa Oasis. Those facts are from the garden's own site.
The visit is a walk at your own pace along shaded paths that cross and climb between the cactus beds, a lily pond lined with blue, yellow and green pots, a bamboo grove and fountains, with the blue villa at the heart of it. GetYourGuide puts it at about an hour. The garden is wheelchair accessible. The former studio of Jacques Majorelle now holds the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts, opened in 2011 with more than 600 objects from the Rif to the Sahara, and the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech stands a few steps away on the same street.
This ticket is the garden only. You book a date and a time on GetYourGuide, and the operator emails your QR code tickets the day before; the GetYourGuide voucher itself does not get you in. The garden sells no tickets at the gate: the official site, tickets.jardinmajorelle.com, says it is the only place to buy them, by timed slot. On 31 October 2026 it listed the garden at 170 dirhams for adults (about 15.50 euros), with children under 10 free with an adult.
The slots are why this listing exists. When we read the official calendar on 31 October 2026 it had no garden slot for two people on 1, 2 or 3 November, and on 5 November only 08:00, 08:30 and a handful after 13:30. GetYourGuide holds its own allocation and marks this ticket likely to sell out.
Why this one
It is the Majorelle ticket with the most reviews on GetYourGuide by a wide margin, about 13,900 at 4.5 out of 5 on 31 October 2026. The listing that adds both museums, Majorelle Garden, YSL and Berber Museum Entry, is rated 4.6 from about 8,700 reviews and started at 42 pounds on GetYourGuide's British storefront that day; a newer one with the museums and an audio guide app costs from 57.90 euros, with about 70 reviews. A garden ticket with an audio guide app costs from 34.90 euros and is rated 3.9.
Be straight with yourself on price. The official site sells the garden for 170 dirhams, the garden with the Berber museum for 230, and all three sites for 330 (about 30 euros), so on a day with official slots free, booking direct costs less and gets you more. Book this one when the official calendar is full for your date, or when you want GetYourGuide's free cancellation up to five days ahead. To see the Medina's palaces with a guide on the same trip, our Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs and the souks with a guide page covers both monuments; our Marrakech hotel guide is at /marrakech/.

In summer, go at 08:00
In the weather data we looked at, the garden is a median 38°C at 13:00 in July and 37°C in August, against 28°C at 09:00. From October to April it is between 21°C and 30°C at midday. The first slots of the day, 08:00 and 08:30, were also the ones the official calendar still had free for the busiest dates we checked.
From our Marrakech hotels
Drive times are routed on OpenStreetMap roads from each hotel in our Marrakech edit to the garden gate on Rue Yves Saint Laurent, without traffic, so allow more at busy hours. The ticket has no pickup: take a petit taxi or your hotel's car. From the Medina riads, cars cannot reach most doors, so the drive starts from the nearest gate or square. On foot, the routed walk is 25 minutes from Dar Kandi, 31 from El Fenn, 33 from Royal Mansour, 39 from La Mamounia and 42 from La Villa des Orangers, much of it along busy roads.

The catch
Check the official calendar first
The garden sells its own tickets online for 170 dirhams, about 15.50 euros, against 26.90 euros here on 31 October 2026.
What to do. Look at tickets.jardinmajorelle.com first. If your date and time are free there, book direct; if not, book here.
This is the garden only
The listing states it does not include the Musée Yves Saint Laurent or the Pierre Bergé Museum of Berber Arts, which have their own tickets.
What to do. For all three, the official combined ticket costs 330 dirhams; buy it on the official site or choose a listing that includes the museums.
Your slot is timed
Entry is by time slot, and late arrivals may not be let in. The operator may also move your time by up to 30 minutes from the one you asked for.
What to do. Check the time on the emailed ticket, not the booking, and be at the gate 15 minutes early.
The ticket arrives the day before
Your QR code tickets come by email from the operator one day before your visit. The GetYourGuide voucher does not get you in, and the box office at the garden will not help with these tickets.
What to do. Give an email address you can read on your phone, check the spam folder the day before, and contact the operator through GetYourGuide if nothing arrives.
Under 10s go free
Children under 10 enter free with an adult and a document showing their age, so there is no need to buy them a ticket here.
What to do. Bring a passport or ID card for each child, and one for yourself.
Midday is the hot, busy hour
In the weather data we looked at, it is a median 38°C at 13:00 in July, and guests describe the paths as crowded in the middle of the day.
What to do. Book 08:00 or 08:30, when it is cooler and the paths are quieter.
