Which room to book at Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel
The Grand Premier Room. At 42 m² it is 10 m² larger than the entry Deluxe Room, enough to sit and spread out, it may face the pedestrian Rue Boissy d'Anglas rather than a courtyard, and on a February night it cost about a fifth more. No room or standard suite on this ladder is sold with a view of the Place de la Concorde; that starts with the signature suites.

Why this one
The first three rungs sit close together in price and differ in space and outlook. The Deluxe Room, 32 m², faces an inner courtyard, every one of them, from the first floor to the sixth. The Premier Room, about 35 m² and €165 more on Tuesday 23 February 2027, adds the chance of the quiet, pedestrian Rue Boissy d'Anglas but only a few square metres. The Grand Premier Room at €2,655 is the step that changes the stay: 10 m² over the entry room, the same courtyard or street outlook as the Premier, and €465 a night over the Deluxe, about a fifth more.
Above it the gains get expensive. The Junior Suite adds 3 m² and a lounge area for another €350. The Deluxe Suite, the first with a separate lounge, was €4,130, nearly twice the entry rate, and the Premier and Grand Premier Suites run to 57 and 72 m² with no stated outlook. The Concorde arrives only with the signature suites, which carried no rate that night, so the money is best spent on the 42 m² room and a drink on the arcade terrace.
- Ask for
- Ask for the Rue Boissy d'Anglas side and a high floor when you book. The hotel sells both outlooks under the one name and publishes no plan, so it is a request rather than a guarantee. If you need twin beds, the Junior Suite is the first category the hotel sells with two singles as an option.
- Avoid
- The Deluxe Room if the outlook matters, since every one faces a courtyard, and any room or standard suite booked in the hope of seeing the Place de la Concorde: only the signature suites are sold with a view of the square. Treat a Junior Suite as more room, not a better view; its outlook is the same as the Grand Premier's.
Suites against rooms
Four are sold with a view of the square. Karl Lagerfeld's Grand Appartement Concorde and Grand Appartement Eiffel are on the fourth floor, furnished to his designs, and join with an adjoining bedroom into a three-bedroom apartment; the bath in one was carved from a single block of Carrara marble weighing over two tonnes. The Louis XV and Bernstein suites on the sixth each have a terrace over the Concorde and connect into 350 m².
For outdoor space without the square, Suite Jardin opens onto its own enclosed terrace over the Cour d'Honneur, and two of the three Ateliers d'Artistes under the roof, Le Peintre and Le Poète, have terraces with the Eiffel Tower in view; both have a shower and no bath. Families have three two-bedroom suites of 100 to 120 m², each with two living rooms and two bathrooms.

Our verdict
Book the Crillon for the building, the salons and the service, with Paris on foot outside the door. Pay for the Grand Premier Room, and save the view of the square for a signature suite.
