Mediterranean brasserie, rooftop and cocktail bar · €€
A big, colourful brasserie at Porte d'Auteuil, open every day from 9am to 1.30am, with a terrace and a rooftop, which makes it the late drink near the hotel. At weekends there is live music and a DJ. It is eleven minutes on foot or three by taxi. Go for a drink before dinner, or stay for the evening if you want a crowd rather than the quiet of Auteuil.

Our verdict
Book Molitor for the water: the rebuilt 1929 pools, a serious spa and a room that looks out over the cabins. Central Paris is a Métro ride away, so plan the days around the pool rather than the other way round.
