Spiritus is a projection show made for one building. Atelier Ocubo, the Portuguese studio behind it, maps light and animation onto the inside of the Clérigos Church, so that the oval nave, the dome and the gilded altar become the screen, and sets it to music with an intense sound, Fever says. It is made with the Irmandade dos Clérigos, the brotherhood that has run the church since 1748, and it was launched in April 2022. Fever sells it, but does not make it.
The show runs for 30 minutes, every day, in timed sessions through the evening: on 30 October 2026 they were at 18:00, 18:45, 19:30, 20:15, 21:00 and 21:45. You buy a ticket for one session and watch from inside the church. The theme comes from a poem by Álvaro de Campos, one of the names under which Fernando Pessoa wrote, about feeling as a way of travelling: Fever describes the look as abstract and fluid, and the idea as the union of the self with the world outside. There is no spoken story to follow, so it works in any language.
The building is the point. The Clérigos Church and its tower were designed by Nicolau Nasoni, the Italian architect, and the tower has stood over the city since 1763; the church has been a National Monument since 1910. By day, the tower and museum are a separate visit with their own ticket, and Spiritus does not include the climb.
Fever says all ages are welcome and children under 10 go free with a paying adult, and that the church is wheelchair accessible. The one warning on the listing is for people with epilepsy: the show uses flashing light and sudden sound, and Fever does not recommend it for them.
Why this one
Spiritus holds 4.72 from 1,036 reviews on Fever on 30 October 2026, more than any other Porto listing on our list except the Candlelight concert at the Bolsa, and it is the one to choose for half an hour of something you cannot see anywhere else: the projections are made for this church. It is also central and short. The One Monumental Palace is a 4-minute walk away and Casa da Companhia 5 minutes, and at 30 minutes it fits between a glass of port and a late dinner. If you would rather sit through an hour of music, our Candlelight page has the quartet concerts at the Palácio da Bolsa, about ten minutes' walk downhill; for Porto's history and legends told in projections and virtual reality, see Porto Legends at the Alfândega, which takes an hour and costs 15 euros.
Fever is not the cheapest place to buy it. Fever charges 12 euros with no booking fee. On 30 October 2026, TUI Musement (formerly Musement) listed the same show from 10 euros, with a full refund up to 24 hours before, and Tiqets also sells it, rated 4.6 from 2,628 reviews there, mostly in combinations with fado, a tuk-tuk ride or a port cellar. Fever's listing does not set out a change or refund policy. If two euros matter, or you want free cancellation, book on Musement; Fever's advantage is the full calendar of sessions to June 2027 in the same app as our other Porto pages.

Complaints
The catch
It costs less elsewhere
Fever charges 12 euros. On 30 October 2026 TUI Musement listed the same show from 10 euros, with a full refund up to 24 hours before.
What to do. If the two euros or free cancellation matter, book it on Musement.
Not for people with epilepsy
Fever does not recommend Spiritus for people with epilepsy, because of intermittent light and sound effects.
What to do. If anyone in your group is sensitive to flashing light, choose the Candlelight concert instead.
The tower is a separate visit
Spiritus is held in the church; the climb up the Clérigos Tower and its museum are sold separately, by day.
What to do. Climb the tower in daylight and come back for an evening session.
Sessions are timed
Each ticket is for one 30-minute session, and TUI Musement asks guests to arrive at least 5 minutes before.
What to do. Be at the church door 10 minutes early.
Children go free only with an adult
Fever sells free tickets for children under 10 only alongside a paying adult ticket on the same booking.
What to do. Add the children to the adult booking rather than buying separately.
