Which room to book at Paradisus by Meliá Fuerteventura

The Suite. At 70 m² it has a living room with a sofa bed as well as the bedroom, and a terrace, so the children sleep in a room of their own and the family is not living in one room for the week. The view is standard, over the resort rather than the sea. For a three-night stay in June 2027 it came to €518 a night for two, all-inclusive, against €340 for the entry Premium Room.

Prices are a guide from our last check, not live rates.

Why this one

The ladder has two halves, and only one of them takes children. Everything named The Reserve is for adults only (16+), so a family chooses among the first seven categories. The Premium rooms are all about 40 to 44 m², and what changes is the outlook: the Premium Room and the Premium Room with Double Sofa Bed have a standard view, while Ocean View, Ocean Front and Frontal Ocean Horizon turn to the Atlantic.

For two adults and two children, the suites are the ones to price, and the Suite is the one that changes the stay. At 70 m² it is the largest family room in the hotel, 29 m² more than the 41 m² Premium Room, with a living room and a sofa bed as well as the bedroom, so the children sleep in a room of their own and the parents get an evening to themselves. Its terrace has a standard view rather than the sea. If the sea matters more than the space, the Suite Ocean Front is 66 m², with a separate living room, a double sofa bed and a balcony facing the Atlantic.

Ask for
Ask for a cot or a child's bed when you book if you need one, and say whether you want the king-size bed or two singles: the Suite comes with either.
Avoid
The Premium Room and the Premium Room with Double Sofa Bed for a family of four: at about 41 m², everyone sleeps in the one room. Every category named The Reserve is for adults only (16+) and cannot take children.

Suites against rooms

Two more are worth singling out. Outside The Reserve, the Suite Ocean Front is the one for a sea view: 66 m², a separate living room with a double sofa bed, a balcony facing the Atlantic, and cots or children's beds on request. Inside The Reserve, for adults only, the Suite Penthouse Ocean Front Horizon is 143 m² with a large sun terrace, a private whirlpool bath and a panoramic view of the ocean. For both, check the rate for your dates.

Our verdict

A five-star base for a family beach week, with slides by the pool and, at spring tides, the lagoon on the doorstep. Check availability for the Suite, and time the dates to René Egli's lagoon calendar.
