Where to eat at and around Royal River Luxury Hotel
You are on the hill above Costa Adeje, opposite the golf course, and the honest summary is that you need a car or a taxi for every dinner that is not the hotel's own. The one place on foot is the golf clubhouse, six minutes up Calle Alcojora. Everything else is in La Caleta, the fishing village below the hotel, five or six minutes by car and 19 on foot, with a two-star kitchen in the same direction, a one-star one eleven minutes down the coast, and the garlic chicken Adeje has been driving up the ravine for since 1988 nine minutes inland.

Golf Costa Adeje clubhouse restaurant
6 min walkGolf clubhouse buffet and terrace · €€
The only table you can walk to, and better than that sounds. The club's own site says the restaurant is open to the public all year, with a buffet of Spanish and international dishes from 12:00 to 17:00 every day, a snack menu and a bar for the hours around it, and a terrace over the first tee with La Gomera on the horizon. The clubhouse opens at 7:00 in winter and 7:30 in summer, closing at 19:00 or 19:30, so it is a lunch, not a dinner.

Two-star Canarian tasting menu · €€€€
Two Michelin stars in the 2026 guide, on the fifth floor of the Royal Hideaway Corales Beach with the ocean below, and a single tasting menu of Canarian ideas cooked by the Padrón brothers. Its own site gives Monday to Friday, 18:30 to 21:00, and closed on Saturday and Sunday, which is the detail that catches people: this is a weeknight, and you book it before you fly.

Fish and rice by the harbour · €€€
In business since 1932 on the harbour wall, and the one to book when you want fish without the tasting-menu apparatus. Its own site lists live shellfish, the day's fish and rice dishes, with grilled octopus and the lobster rice or a traditional paella for two as the calling cards, and gives 12:00 to 23:00 every day, so it works for a long lunch after the beach as well as for the sunset. Rice for two runs past 50 euros on its menu; not the cheap table.

Italian restaurant and wine bar · €€€
Italian since 2006 on the corner where La Caleta's seafront turns, with a terrace that faces the sunset the name refers to and a wine list the restaurant says it rebuilds every year. Its own site gives 13:00 to 23:00 every day. On the current menu a red prawn carpaccio is 29 euros, a bluefin tuna tartare 19 and a pot of mussels 20, which tells you the level: this is the smart night out, not the cheap one.

Seafront fish and seafood restaurant · €€€
The fish restaurant on the front at La Caleta, with the Atlantic under the terrace and a kitchen that its own site describes as fresh fish and shellfish from the local markets, reinterpreting the Canarian maritime tradition: octopus, tuna carpaccio, lobster linguine. Open Monday to Sunday, 13:00 to 22:30. Book a terrace table for the last hour of light, which is the reason to come.

9 min by carGarlic chicken at the ravine mouth · €
The antidote to a week of resort menus: a Canarian institution at the entrance to the Barranco del Infierno above Adeje town, serving garlic chicken since 1988 by its own menu, where the chicken is 8.60 euros with mojo on the table. Its own site gives 11:00 to 23:00 every day. Go at lunch after the walk, order the chicken and a local wine, and expect to spend a fraction of a night at the hotel bar.

One-star Canarian tasting menus · €€€€
A Michelin star in the 2026 guide, inside the Casa Fuerte at the Gran Tacande, and two tasting menus on its own site: Atlántico at 135 euros for ten courses and Raíz at 165 for fifteen, built around the chef's family cooking, including a kid goat wrapped in banana leaves. From October to March it opens Tuesday to Friday, 18:30 to 21:00, and Saturday for lunch and dinner, closed Sunday and Monday; from April to September only Thursday to Saturday, with a holiday closure from 1 June to 8 July 2027.

Breakfast
The hotel's site does not say whether breakfast is included; it depends on the rate you book, so read the rate description before you assume. When it is served, it is at Pineapple, the all-day restaurant around the main pool, which the hotel describes as an open-air breakfast, and the hotel also sells a pool brunch delivered to your villa on a floating tray. The nearest alternative is the golf clubhouse up the road, open from 7:00 in winter with a bar and snack menu, which is a coffee rather than a breakfast.
What to skip
The promenade restaurants below the big hotels on the Costa Adeje seafront, where the menus come with photographs and the prices come with the view. The fish tables in La Caleta, a few minutes further along the same coast, face the same sunset.
