Siam Park
4.5 from about 18,800 reviews on GetYourGuide
Tenerife's big water park, above Playa de las Américas, from 44 euros, the same as the park's own price. Go early on a busy day: the queues are the catch, and the 99 euro Fast Pass costs more than the ticket.

Siam Park opened in 2008 above Playa de las Américas, built by the company behind Loro Parque and themed on Thailand, with pavilions, planting and a pool of sea lions by the entrance. It opens every day of the year from 10:00, closing at 18:00 from 1 May to 29 October and at 17:00 in winter. The park advertises ten years as Tripadvisor's top-rated water park in the world.
The big rides are at the top of the park. Tower of Power is a 28 metre freefall slide that reaches up to 80 km/h and ends in a tube through an aquarium of rays and predatory fish; riders must be at least 1.49 metres tall and 12 years old. The Wave Palace, a wave pool of more than 13,500 square metres, makes waves of up to 3 metres, which the park calls the biggest artificial waves in the world, and the Mai Thai River is a kilometre-long lazy river. Both are kept at 24°C. Children under 1.10 metres need a lifejacket on the river, and floats on the family slides carry up to 110 kilos alone or 180 kilos for two.
A day ticket is 44 euros for anyone 12 or over on the park's own site, 32 euros for children aged 3 to 11, and nothing for under 3s. Sun loungers, tubes, life jackets, umbrellas, changing rooms and showers are included. Parking is 7 euros, with limited spaces; lockers are 7 or 10 euros, and towels are sold, not lent, at 19.90 euros.
Why this one
This is the park's own day ticket, sold through GetYourGuide at the park's own price: 44 euros on both, and it was rated 4.5 from about 18,800 reviews. Buying on GetYourGuide adds free cancellation up to 24 hours before; the park's own site is where the Fast Pass, the all-inclusive ticket and the VIP cabañas are sold. The other water park on the island, Aqualand Costa Adeje, with a dolphin show, was rated 4.3 from 1,103 reviews on GetYourGuide, from 37 euros: cheaper, smaller and less loved.
For both parks, the Twin Ticket covers Siam Park and Loro Parque, our animal park page, for 10 euros less than two tickets, with 15 days between the visits; it was 78 euros on GetYourGuide. If you want animals rather than slides, book Loro Parque instead.
Good for
- Families and groups who want a full day of slides and waves
- Thrill-seekers of 12 or over and at least 1.49 metres
- Anyone staying in Costa Adeje, Las Américas or Los Cristianos
Not for
- Anyone who hates queuing and will not pay 99 euros to skip them
- Small children who will be too short for most big slides
- Guests in the north without a car, unless they take the park's bus
When to go
What an afternoon at the park is like month by month, at 14:00. Temperature, cloud and rain are modelled for the park from five years of historical weather.
| Month | Temperature | Clear sky | Rainy days |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jan | 21°C / 18°C | 61% | 6% |
| Feb | 21°C / 19°C | 60% | 4% |
| Mar | 20°C / 19°C | 57% | 6% |
| Apr | 21°C / 19°C | 53% | 7% |
| May | 22°C / 21°C | 59% | 5% |
| Jun | 23°C / 21°C | 70% | 3% |
| Jul | 25°C / 22°C | 86% | 0% |
| Aug | 26°C / 24°C | 81% | 2% |
| Sept | 26°C / 24°C | 63% | 4% |
| Oct | 25°C / 23°C | 58% | 1% |
| Nov | 24°C / 22°C | 60% | 8% |
| Dec | 22°C / 20°C | 56% | 9% |
Temperature is the median at 14:00, with the coolest day in ten after it. Clear sky is the share of days with little cloud at 14:00; rainy days, the share with 1 mm of rain or more.
The sunniest months are the busiest
July and August have the clearest skies, 86% and 81% of days at 14:00, and almost no rain, but they are also the school holidays, when reviewers report the longest queues. The pools are kept at 24°C all year, and in the weather data we looked at the air at 14:00 is above 20°C in every month, so a winter visit is warm enough and quieter.

What guests keep saying
Recurring themes in the tour’s reviews, in our words, never quoted.
Praised
- The lazy river and the family slides, for all ages
- Real height and speed on Tower of Power
- A clean, well-kept park
- No waiting at all on quiet days
Complaints
- Queues of 40 minutes to over an hour a ride on busy days, even for food
The catch
The queues
The listing itself warns that peak season is busy. Low-rated reviews describe 40 minutes a ride on slower days and more than an hour on busy ones, even for food, in the sun; on quiet days guests report no wait at all.
What to do. Be there when it opens at 10:00 and ride the big slides first, or come outside the school holidays.
The Fast Pass costs more than the ticket
Fast Pass Unlimited is 99 euros on the park's site, on top of entry. It covers every ride except Tower of Power and the Mai Thai River, is valid for one date only, and cannot be changed or refunded. The GetYourGuide listing says it is sold only at the ticket office; the park sells it online as well.
What to do. Decide before you go, and buy it online on the park's site if you want it.
The extras add up
Parking is 7 euros with limited spaces, a locker 7 or 10 euros, and a towel 19.90 euros to buy. Food is extra too. None of it shows in the ticket price.
What to do. Bring towels and arrive early if you are driving.
Height and age limits close some rides
Tower of Power needs riders of at least 1.49 metres and 12 years. Children under 1.10 metres need a lifejacket on the Mai Thai River, and the family slides' floats carry 110 kilos alone or 180 kilos shared, with 130 kilos per rider on most other float rides.
What to do. Check the limits before you promise a child a particular slide.
Sea lions at the entrance
The park keeps sea lions in a pool at the entrance, which it calls Sea Lion Island. Some reviewers have questioned the size of the pool.
What to do. If that matters to you, read the reviews before you book.
