Palacio de Isora is big, and it knows it. Around 600 rooms on the west coast at Alcalá, a saltwater infinity pool that is among the largest in Europe, a dozen places to eat and drink, kids' clubs, a spa and a beach club on the rocks. If you want a resort that runs like a small town, with something for every age and no need to plan, it does that job better than anywhere else in Tenerife.
The decision that matters is which part of it you book. The main hotel is lively, family-heavy and, in holiday weeks, crowded at breakfast and around the pools; the recurring complaint in guest feedback is exactly that scale. RedLevel, the adults-only wing with its own pool, lounge and rooms with private plunge pools, is a different hotel and the one we would choose. It costs more and is worth it.
The west coast is windier than Costa Adeje and the sea access is rocky rather than sandy, so this is a pool resort, not a beach one. Against Abama, its neighbour up the road, it is less refined and less expensive, and for a family week that is often the better sum.
