Where to eat at and around ZEL Fuerteventura

The hotel has four places to eat and drink. Parda serves Mediterranean cooking with Canarian produce from breakfast to dinner, with buffets at breakfast and, on half board, at dinner; Parda Beach is the beach bar, looking over Sotavento; Café de Finca pours speciality coffee; and Voltaje does food, cocktails and music in the evening. Outside, nothing is within ten minutes on foot except the beach, the René Egli centre and the hotel next door, so you will want a car or a taxi for everything below, from six minutes to Costa Calma to fourteen to the clifftop at the Mirador de Sotavento.

Breakfast

Breakfast is a buffet in Parda, the hotel's all-day restaurant, where the cooking leans on Canarian produce; ask for the hours at check-in. The rates on the which-room page include it, and it is part of half board, but check that your own rate includes it. For a change, Tony's Non Solo Café in Costa Calma opens at 7:00, eight minutes by car, and Café Berlin bakes its own rolls and cakes.

Our verdict

The hotel to book when the wind is the reason for the trip: the school next door, the World Cup beach in front and a sea-view terrace to come back to. Check availability for a Zel Ocean View.
