Las Vegas airport to the Strip: every way, timed and priced

Las Vegas makes the first ten minutes of a trip easy. Harry Reid International sits at the south end of the Strip, and the state fixes the taxi fare to most Strip hotels before you get in. Below is every realistic way from the airport, with the operators' own prices, and the way we would get to each of the ten hotels in our Las Vegas edit.

The short answer

Take a taxi from the rank outside baggage claim: the Nevada Taxicab Authority's flat fare is $22.25 to the south Strip, $26.25 to the middle and $30.25 to the north, plus a $2.40 airport fee, 3% tax and $3 to pay by card, and the drive to our Strip hotels is typically 9–12 minutes. Circa downtown and Red Rock Resort in Summerlin go on the meter, about 17 and 25 minutes away. Uber and Lyft pick up in the terminal garages, and RTC's 108 bus is $2 for light travellers heading north of the Strip or downtown.

  • LASLas Vegas Harry Reid International (LAS). The only airport for Las Vegas, at the south end of the Strip: Terminal 1 for Southwest, American, Delta, Allegiant and Sun Country, Terminal 3 for every international flight plus United, JetBlue, Alaska and Frontier.

Taxi, flat zone fare to the Strip

LAS
Time
Typically 9–12 minutes to our Strip hotels, 17 minutes to Circa and 25 minutes to Red Rock Resort
Price
$22.25 to Zone 1, $26.25 to Zone 2, $30.25 to Zone 3, per car; off the Strip, the meter at $8.21 for the first mile and $2.96 a mile after, plus a 19-cent fuel surcharge a mile; on top, a $2.40 airport fee, 3% excise tax and $3 to pay by card

The right answer for almost everyone: quick, fixed and from a staffed rank. At Terminal 1 the rank is outside doors 1 to 4, at Terminal 3 outside door 52.

Pre-booked private transfer

LAS
Time
The same drive as the taxi, with the driver waiting in arrivals
Price
Fixed when you book; the widget on this page shows the live price

Worth it for a late or delayed flight, a family that needs child seats or a bigger car, and Red Rock Resort, the one hotel of the ten a long way off the Strip.

Uber or Lyft

LAS
Time
As the taxi, plus the walk to the garage
Price
Shown in the app before you book; the airport publishes no fare

Handy if you already use the apps, but the pick-up is in the garage: Level 2 of the Terminal 1 garage, or the Valet Level at Terminal 3. Compare the app price with the flat taxi fare first.

RTC route 108

LAS
Time
From Terminal 1's Level Zero about every 30 minutes on weekdays, 4:19am to 1:35am; about 19–27 minutes to the Sahara Monorail Station and 28–38 minutes to the Bonneville Transit Center downtown
Price
$2 a ride, $5 for 24 hours; under-6s free with an adult

For light travellers only: it runs up Paradise Road, a block east of the Strip, so it suits SAHARA and Circa better than the middle of the Strip. From Terminal 3, take the free shuttle to Terminal 1 first.

Zoox driverless ride

LAS
Time
Direct to selected Strip addresses
Price
Shown in the Zoox app; the airport publishes no fare

Electric, autonomous and a story to tell, from Level Zero at both terminals; check in the app that your hotel is one of its stops.

The taxi rules and the flat zone fares

The Nevada Taxicab Authority sets a flat fare between the airport and three zones along the Strip. Zone 1, from Sunset Road to Tropicana Avenue, is $22.25 and covers the Four Seasons. Zone 2, Tropicana to Flamingo, is $26.25 and covers Bellagio and The Cosmopolitan. Zone 3, Flamingo to the STRAT, is $30.25 and covers Caesars Palace, The Venetian, Wynn, Fontainebleau and SAHARA. The fare is per car, and it includes the fuel surcharge in force since April 2026.

On top the Authority adds a $2.40 airport pick-up fee, 3% excise tax on all rates and fees, and $3 if you pay by card. Every taxi company at the airport takes cards. Anywhere off the zone map, Circa and Red Rock Resort among them, the meter runs at $8.21 for the first mile and $2.96 a mile after that.

Which terminal, and where the rides are

International flights, and British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Aer Lingus among them, land at Terminal 3, where taxis wait outside baggage claim by door 52 and Uber and Lyft pick up on the Valet Level of the garage. At Terminal 1 the taxi rank is outside doors 1 to 4 on the east side of baggage claim, and app cars wait on Level 2 of the garage, reached by the lift near door 2.

The two terminals are not walkable from each other. If you land at one and need the bus at the other, the free shuttle on Level Zero runs about every 20 to 30 minutes.

Arriving late

The queue at the taxi rank outside baggage claim is run by airport staff, and the flat zone fares do not change with the hour. The last 108 bus leaves Terminal 1 at 1:35am on weekdays. If your flight is due in after a long day, or there are delays on the way, a pre-booked private transfer tracks the flight and the driver waits for you in arrivals.

The bus in detail

RTC's route 108 starts at the covered stop on Terminal 1's Level Zero: from baggage claim go down a level, cross at the crosswalk and bear right. It runs north up Paradise Road, a block east of the Strip, to the Sahara Monorail Station and the Bonneville Transit Center downtown, about every 30 minutes on weekdays. A ride is $2 and a 24-hour pass $5. It is the cheapest way to SAHARA and to Circa with a light bag; for the middle of the Strip, the taxi wins.

Going back to the airport

The flat zone fares apply in both directions, and the hotel's taxi rank is the easy way back. Tell the driver your terminal: Terminal 1 for Southwest, American, Delta, Allegiant and Sun Country, Terminal 3 for everyone else. Through December 2026 the airport connector tunnels have lane closures while they are repaved, so the airport asks you to allow extra time, and it wants you at the airport two hours before a domestic flight and three before an international one.
