Circa is the first new hotel-casino built in the Fremont Street area since 1980, a 35-storey glass tower at the west end of downtown. Derek and Greg Stevens bought the Las Vegas Club in 2015, added the Mermaids casino and the Glitter Gulch strip club, demolished all three in 2017 and opened the casino, sportsbook and pool on 28 October 2020, with the hotel following that December. The name salutes the men who built old Vegas, Benny Binion and Jay Sarno among them, and Vegas Vickie, the neon cowgirl from Glitter Gulch, now presides over the lobby bar. Everyone inside, hotel guests and diners included, must be 21 or over.
All the rooms have king beds and a fridge, with twin basins and a walk-in shower. The Single King is 439 sq ft (41 m²) and comes with one of three outlooks: the north side of the city, the Strip or straight down onto the pool. The Corner Studio adds 90 sq ft and a sunrise or sunset corner. The one-bedroom suites start at the 867 sq ft (81 m²) Circa Suite and the two-bedroom Founders Suite runs to 1,830 sq ft (170 m²) with an electric fireplace. Since September 2026 the top guest floors have held Platinum rooms of 484 sq ft (45 m²) under 10-foot ceilings.
Stadium Swim is the reason to book. Six pools on three tiers face a screen 135 feet wide and 41 feet tall, with two swim-up bars, room for 4,000 people and the games on with the sound up: pro and college football, Golden Knights hockey, fight nights. The pools are heated, so it opens every day of the year: 8am to 11pm from March to October, and on shorter hours from November to February, with weekdays from 9am and earlier closing except for football and big events. In those months the water is kept at 94°F (34°C) and the hot tubs at 100°F (38°C). Each room gets two general-admission passes a night, subject to availability, and the loungers are first come, first served. A three-storey escalator carries you up from the casino, and towels are provided at the pool.
This is a party pool, with music and game sound at volume through the day, heard in the rooms that face it. Fremont Street's concerts play under the canopy every night. A Tuesday in May starts at about $170 before the $50 nightly resort fee and tax, and Fridays and Saturdays can cost about three times as much. Book it for a sports weekend with friends, a birthday by the pool or a first night in old Vegas, and look elsewhere for a quiet sunbed or a spa.
