Book well ahead: tables go weeks out
You are at the La Caleta end of Costa Adeje with Playa del Duque across the promenade and the hotel's own ten restaurants and thirteen bars behind you: Nub with its 2026 star, Kensei in the Michelin selection with its own door on Plaza Playas del Duque, and a Beach Club that serves from 1pm to 4.30pm. On foot, the promenade gives you one serious table next door and not much else worth the walk. For the rest, the fish houses of La Caleta and the starred dining rooms above them, you need a taxi or a car, though nothing on this list is more than eight minutes away.
The tables at this hotel that are a reason to come, and how hard they are to get.

Seafood house in a Canarian tower
The tower on the beach between the hotel and the Mirador, managed by the Sides family and built as a marisquería: fresh fish, a lobster you pick yourself and 350 covers spread over terraces that look straight at La Gomera. Its own site gives 12.30 to 11.30pm with the kitchen closing at 10.30, and takes bookings by phone only, so ring a day ahead for a rail-side table at sunset.

Tasting menus under a colourful dome · €€€
On the top floor of the Jardines de Nivaria at Fañabé, under a colourful dome, in the 2026 Michelin selection at the three-euro band. Two tasting menus, six courses or ten, on Canarian and French foundations, with an à la carte alongside. Its own site gives dinner only, from 7pm in winter and 7.30pm in summer, closed Sunday, Monday and 31 December, minimum age 12, and long trousers and closed shoes for men.

Two Michelin stars above La Caleta · €€€€
The Padrón brothers' dining room on the fifth floor of the Royal Hideaway Corales Beach, two stars in the 2026 guide at its top price band, with a single long tasting menu built on Canarian recipes and the ocean in the window. Its own site gives Monday to Friday, 6.30pm to 9pm, closed Saturday and Sunday, and an online booking page; the room is small and the weekday-only hours make it scarcer than it looks.

Fish from the local markets, seafront
A terrace open to the horizon on the La Caleta seafront, cooking fish and shellfish bought daily from the island's markets: Canarian-style octopus, red tuna carpaccio and grilled scallops among them. Its own site gives 1pm to 10.30pm every day and an online reservation page. The sunset is the reason to book the earlier sitting.

Restaurant and wine bar, oceanfront
The loosest of the La Caleta terraces, a restaurant and wine bar facing the ocean that its own site describes as a place to spend time with the sea and good food rather than a menu to be got through. Open 1pm to 11pm every day, so it is the answer for a long lunch that becomes an evening. Book for a front-row table.

Breakfast is a buffet at El Bernegal from 7.30 to 10.30 for the main houses, à la carte on the Casas Ducales terrace from 8.00 to 11.00, and continental in the villa from 8.00 to noon for Las Villas. Guests plan their day around the buffet and also report it overrun in holiday weeks, so Casas Ducales guests should use their own terrace. If you sleep through it, the hotel's Café La Bahía on the promenade opens at 10.30 and La Torre del Mirador next door serves from 12.30. Check what your rate includes before assuming breakfast is in it.
The terraces on the promenade between the beach and the shopping centre with laminated photo menus and a waiter on the pavement. You are paying for the view twice, and the fish in La Caleta, eight minutes by car, is what those menus are pretending to be.

Our verdict
The safest grand-resort bet on the island, and the right choice if a real beach matters. Check availability for the Casas Ducales or a Villa.
