Why this one

The rooms page draws one line through the ladder, and it is not the line between rooms and suites. It is the line between the categories the hotel calls newly renovated, which are the two Superior Deluxe rooms and the two Ambassador Superior suites in the adults-only wing, and everything else, which it does not. The Deluxe rooms on floors one to four have no published size and no renovation claim, and the older bathrooms guests report are theirs. The Superior Deluxe Teide View is 38 square metres, has a private terrace, a separate dressing room, an Italian marble bathroom, a Nespresso machine and electric curtains, and puts the volcano in the window. For 9 to 11 February 2027 it was 297 euros a night against 271 for the Deluxe Teide View: 26 euros for the difference between the room the hotel is proud of and the room it is quiet about.

Above the pick the ladder is uneven in a useful way. The Ambassador Jr suites and the Senator suites are older stock priced above the renovated Superior Deluxe, so the money runs backwards for anyone who values a fresh bathroom over a sitting room. The one suite worth the step is the renovated Ambassador Superior Suite Teide View, 57 square metres with an 11 square metre terrace, at 369 euros: 72 euros more than the pick for half as much space again. The penthouses above 440 euros are terrace rooms, and the two named suites at 883 are a corner of the fifth floor with a hot tub and a story.

Ask for
Ask for a high floor on the Teide side of the adults-only wing and say the volcano is the reason for the stay, because the higher the floor, the clearer the view over the gardens. Ask which restaurants are closed on your nights before you add half board, and ask for the minibus timetable in writing at check-in.
Avoid
Skip the Deluxe Garden View unless you have decided the room is only for sleeping: it looks at the spa garden, it is not described as renovated, and the Teide version is 17 euros more. Avoid the Ambassador Jr and Senator suites if a renovated bathroom is your priority, because at 335 to 399 euros they cost more than the renovated Superior Deluxe rooms and the hotel does not describe them as refurbished. When you book, check that the Superior Deluxe rate says Teide View and not Ocean View.

Suites against rooms

Two suites are worth singling out. The Ambassador Superior Suite Teide View is one of the two suite categories the hotel describes as renovated, the other being its Ocean View twin at 17 euros less, and at 57 square metres with an 11 square metre terrace in the adults-only wing it is, at 369 euros in February, the honest upgrade from the pick. The other is the Double Penthouse at 335 euros: a fifth-floor bedroom with a whirlpool bath, a private terrace and the valley and the volcano in front of it, at the same price as a garden-facing junior suite. It is the best view per euro on the ladder, with the caveat that the hotel does not call it renovated.
