Fontainebleau Las Vegas: The Oasis pool below the blue-glass towerThe new one

Fontainebleau Las Vegas

The Strip's newest big resort: a 67-storey tower with a six-acre pool deck, a two-storey spa and a MICHELIN Key.

$From about $165 a night

Choose Fontainebleau Las Vegas if

  • Pool and spa days
  • Convention trips
  • Big nights out
  • Stay-put weekends

The catch

It stands at the north end of the Strip. The Bellagio fountains are about 45 minutes' walk (3.2 km) and the Venetian 34 minutes, and the Vegas Loop station downstairs runs to the Convention Center, Wynn and Encore, Resorts World and Westgate rather than the centre Strip, so the middle of the Strip means a taxi.

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas: A gondola on the Grand Canal under a painted skyThe all-rounder

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

Every room a suite, remodelled in 2024 and 2025, with gondolas, a two-acre pool deck and 40-plus restaurants on site.

$From about $240 a night

Choose The Venetian Resort Las Vegas if

  • A first Las Vegas trip
  • Sphere shows
  • Friends sharing a suite
  • Food and shopping under one roof

The catch

A $55 nightly resort fee plus tax is added to every stay. It covers in-suite Wi-Fi, the Canyon Ranch gym for two, local calls and boarding-pass printing, but not the spa, and self-parking costs hotel guests another $20 a day, valet $40.

Good questions about Fontainebleau Las Vegas vs The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

Fontainebleau Las Vegas or The Venetian Resort Las Vegas?

New rooms at both: Fontainebleau opened in 2023, and The Venetian remodelled every suite in 2024 and 2025. Fontainebleau, from about $165, for Lapis Spa, LIV and a six-acre pool deck in season; The Venetian, from about $240, for a 650 sq ft suite mid-Strip.

Is Fontainebleau Las Vegas worth it?

Book Fontainebleau for a new resort you need not leave: the pools, the spa, the restaurants and LIV are all under one roof. Pay the small step to a Gold King Strip Best View, and plan on a taxi or the Loop for the rest of the Strip. A brand-new, self-contained resort where the pool deck, the spa, the restaurants and a nightclub are the holiday, all under one roof. It stands at the north end of the Strip, so the rest of Las Vegas is a taxi ride away.

Does Fontainebleau Las Vegas have a pool or a beach?

It has an outdoor pool. There is no beach; the nearest is a drive away.

Is The Venetian Resort Las Vegas worth it?

Book The Venetian for a big remodelled suite with the pools, the canal, 40-plus restaurants and a covered bridge to Sphere, all without a taxi. Pay for the Sphere View, budget for the $55 nightly fee, and check your dates, since the same suite can cost nearly three times as much in a busy week. A small city of a resort in the middle of the Strip, where the suite, the pools, dinner and the shops are all on site and a covered bridge leads to Sphere. Expect crowds, long corridors and a casino at the centre of it all.
