The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Bellagio, Caesars Palace and Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The Cosmopolitan's Fountain View rooms have terraces facing the Bellagio fountains. Bellagio's Fountain View King faces them from their own hotel. Caesars Palace's Augustus Fountain View Room looks across Flamingo Road to the lake. Fontainebleau's Strip Best View rooms face the north Strip from the 54th floor up.
4 of our ten · Hand-pickedHotels cannot pay to be hereLast checked: October 2026
The view most people want in Las Vegas is the Bellagio lake, where the fountains play every half hour from 3pm on weekdays and from noon at weekends, then every 15 minutes from 8pm to midnight. Three of our ten sell rooms that face it, and the rule at all three is the same: book the category with the view in its name, then ask for a high floor. Plain rooms promise nothing, and none of the three guarantees a floor.
Two things change the picture. From mid-September to December a temporary Formula 1 hospitality stand runs along the lake's Strip edge; the shows go on and the fountains stay in view, but the stand is in the frame. And the fountains are not the only view worth paying for. Choose The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for a terrace, Bellagio for the lake from its own hotel, Caesars Palace for a bigger room facing it, and Fontainebleau Las Vegas for height and the north Strip skyline.
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas puts a private terrace between you and the fountains. Its two glass towers stand next door to Bellagio, and every category with Fountain View in its name turns a terrace of at least 110 sq ft (10 m²), behind sliding doors, towards the lake. Terraces are rare on the Strip, and this one lets you sit out for every show from 8pm to midnight. From the Boulevard Tower, on the Strip corner, the lake runs straight ahead; the Chelsea Tower sees it at an angle.
The words in the room name are what you pay for. The City Room has no terrace, and a plain Terrace Studio can face ARIA or the Strip instead. One rung up, the Terrace One Bedroom Suite Fountain View has the same terrace, a separate bedroom and a Japanese soaking tub, and on a May Tuesday in 2027 it was only $12 more than the studio.

Terrace Studio King Fountain View
620 sq ft (58 m²) plus a 110 sq ft (10 m²) terrace$258 a night
620 sq ft with a bubbler tub, and the first rung on which the private terrace is promised to face the Bellagio lake and its fountains.
Bellagio is the hotel the fountains belong to, and its Fountain View rooms face the 8.5-acre lake. More than a thousand fountains, set to music and light, send water as high as 460 feet, and from 8pm to midnight there is a show every 15 minutes. The Fountain View King is the same 510 sq ft (47 m²) room as the entry Premier King, remodelled in 2021 with a walk-in shower and double basins; only the outlook changes, and at full height the jets rise past the window.
The view is sold by room type, not by floor, and on low floors the roofs of the lakeside restaurants cut off the nearest water. The Fountain View Two Queen gives the same outlook with two beds. For a suite, the One Bedroom Lakeview, about 2,075 sq ft (193 m²), is the smallest that always faces the fountains.

Fountain View King
about 510 sq ft (47 m²)$417 a night
The same remodelled 510 sq ft room as the entry Premier King, sold facing the lake and every show: the reason most people come to Bellagio.
Caesars Palace faces the Bellagio fountains from across Flamingo Road. The Augustus Fountain View Room is on the south face of the Augustus Tower, near the pools and the lobby, and looks across the road to the lake. At 650 sq ft (60 m²) it is the largest standard room at Caesars, and the view is sold by name, so this is the category that secures the fountains. The higher the floor, the less the palms and the covered walkway on the near shore get in the way.
Two things to know. The Julius Fountain View rooms face Caesars' own fountains in front of that tower, not the Bellagio's. And the Augustus Tower is being remodelled, due to finish in early 2027; the new rooms have not been shown yet, so this is a booking for the window rather than the decor. For the Strip instead, book an Augustus, Julius or Colosseum Strip View room.

Augustus Fountain View Room
650 sq ft (60 m²)$344 a night
The Caesars room sold on the Bellagio fountains by name: 650 sq ft on the tower's south face, looking across Flamingo Road to the lake.
Fontainebleau Las Vegas gives this list its height. At 67 storeys it is Nevada's tallest building, topped only by the Strat tower, and every room has floor-to-ceiling windows. The Strip Best View rooms are on the 54th floor or above and face the north Strip: Resorts World across the road, Encore straight ahead and Sphere to its left. Encore stands in front of Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan and The Venetian, so this is the towers and lights of the north end, not the fountains.
Book by category. Every Bleau room faces the mountains, the Gold King is the first room sold facing the Strip, and the Gold queens face the city and the mountains only. The Gold King Strip Great View faces the Strip too, without the floor promise. For more room with the same outlook, the Royal Suite Strip Best View adds a separate bedroom and a second bathroom.

Gold King Strip Best View
about 545 sq ft (51 m²)$475 a night
545 sq ft on the 54th floor or above, facing the Strip rather than the mountains, which every Bleau room below it faces.
Ask for the highest floor available: Best View starts at the 54th floor, and from the floors around it Encore, straight ahead, stands in front of the centre Strip.
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas sells a different view: its Sphere View suites have Sphere in view across the Expo roof, about a third of a mile off, with moving images on its LED skin after dark, in a remodelled suite of 650 sq ft (60 m²).
Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa sells the desert instead: the Canyon View King faces west over the pool to the Calico Hills and the Red Rock mountains, about 6 miles away, for the same rate as the room facing the Strip's lights.
From about $250 a night
Questions people ask
Good questions about Las Vegas
Which Las Vegas hotels have rooms facing the Bellagio fountains?
Three of our ten. At Bellagio, the Fountain View King and Fountain View Two Queen face the lake, as do the Lakeview suites from 2,075 sq ft (193 m²). At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, next door, every category with Fountain View in its name has a private terrace facing the lake. At Caesars Palace, across Flamingo Road, the Augustus Fountain View Room faces it from the tower's south side. The Julius Fountain View rooms at Caesars face Caesars' own fountains, not the Bellagio's.
How often do the Bellagio fountains play?
Every half hour from 3pm on weekdays and from noon at weekends, then every 15 minutes from 8pm to midnight, wind permitting. In each show more than a thousand fountains, set to music and light, send water as high as 460 feet. From a Fountain View room at Bellagio, a Fountain View terrace at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas or an Augustus Fountain View Room at Caesars Palace, the evening shows come four times an hour.
Does the Formula 1 race block the fountain view?
Not the fountains, but it changes the picture. Since 2023 a temporary hospitality stand, the Bellagio Fountain Club, has been built along the lake's Strip edge for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and it stands from mid-September to December. In 2026 the lakeside pavement closes from 14 September to 9 November, and the race runs from 19 to 21 November. The shows carry on, and the rooms sold on the fountains still face them, with the stand in the view. For the lake without it, come between January and early September.
Is a fountain view room worth the extra?
For a trip built around the lake, the step is small. On Tuesday 18 May 2027 Bellagio's Fountain View King was $417 against $395 for the same 510 sq ft room with no promised view. At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas the Terrace Studio King Fountain View was $258 against $215 for the City Room, so the step bought 160 sq ft, a terrace and the fountains. At Caesars Palace the Augustus Fountain View Room was $344, $30 more than the same 650 sq ft room with a view that varies. Rates move with events, so compare on your own dates.
Do you need a high floor for the view in Las Vegas?
It helps at all three fountain hotels. At Bellagio the view is sold by room type rather than floor, and on low floors the lakeside restaurant roofs cut off the nearest water. At The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas the Boulevard Tower's north side has the clearest line to the lake, while low in the Chelsea Tower the 11-storey Jockey Club is in the way. At Caesars Palace, higher floors clear the palms on the near shore. Fontainebleau Las Vegas promises the 54th floor or above in its Best View rooms. Elsewhere, height is a request, not a guarantee.
How did you choose these hotels?
Independently, through extensive research, trusted sources and first-hand visits. Hotels cannot pay to be included, and every one of the ten has to exist for a different reason.
