The pool one1 / 4
Disney's Yacht Club Resort
Walt Disney World, Epcot area, Orlando
Disney's Yacht Club Resort is here for Stormalong Bay, a three-acre pool complex it shares only with the Beach Club and the Beach Club Villas, and which Disney leaves out of pool hopping. You wade into the sand-bottomed pool from a sloping beach, drift round a circular lazy river, and ride a slide 230 feet long from the mast of a shipwreck on the lakeshore back to the water. For small children there is the Shipwreck Pool, with a miniature slide of its own; there are also three whirlpools and a raised sun deck, and Hurricane Hanna's pours from 11am to 10pm. The sand and decking were renewed in the first half of 2025.
When the big pool is busy, the Yacht Club's own Admiral Pool sits in a quiet garden with a whirlpool. Epcot's International Gateway is nine minutes' walk away, so a park morning and a pool afternoon fit in one day.
