Why this one
The bottom of the ladder is eleven rooms between $423 and $475 on a Tuesday in mid-May, and what separates them is which way they face. Every Bleau room, 488 or 494 sq ft (45 or 46 m²), looks towards the mountains, with the city in front of them in the graded rooms. The Gold rooms add up to 100 sq ft and a marble-tiled bathroom, and only the Gold King is sold facing the Strip. The Strip Great View version promises no floor; the Strip Best View is on the 54th floor or above, for $15 more. From there you look down the north Strip: Resorts World across the road, Encore straight ahead and Sphere to its left. Encore stands in front of the Bellagio, the Cosmopolitan and the Venetian, so this is the towers and lights of the north Strip, not the fountains.
Above it, the next real change is the Royal Suite, at $521 over the pool or $575 facing the Strip from the 54th floor up: 936 sq ft (87 m²), a separate bedroom with a soaking tub and walk-in shower, a second full bathroom and a bar privé. The Platinum King adds a sitting area and dining space for two in 660 sq ft (61 m²), but that night it was on sale only at its flexible rate, from $629. From the Regal Suite at $690 to the Grand Panorama, the suites face the mountains; the Strip returns only with the Fleur de Lis Crown Penthouse.
- Ask for
- Book the king if the Strip is the point: the Gold rooms with two queens are sold only facing the city and the mountains. Ask for the highest floor available, since the Best View promise starts at the 54th and Encore, straight down the Strip, stands in front of the centre Strip from the floors around it. For a family of four, the Gold Queen Mountain Best View gives two queens and 590 sq ft (55 m²) on the same floors for the pick's $475.
- Avoid
- Any Bleau room if you came for the Strip, since all of them face the mountains, and the Gold King Pool View in winter, when the Oasis deck below is closed and, from 19 November 2026 to 17 January 2027, partly an ice rink. If you are paying for a suite, the Royal Suite cost less than the Noble Suite at every view for about the same 936 sq ft (87 m²), and it always has a soaking tub, where a Noble Suite may have only an oversized walk-in shower.
Suites against rooms
Two suites are worth singling out. The Royal Suite Strip Best View is the step up from the pick: a Strip view from the 54th floor or above with a separate bedroom, a living room with a bar privé, a soaking tub and walk-in shower in the bedroom and a second full bathroom, for $575 on the May Tuesday, $100 more than the pick. For a family, the Regal Suite, from $690, connects to a Bleau Queen for a two-bedroom stay; ask for the pair when you book.
At the top, the Fleur de Lis Crown Penthouse is the only category on sale with a dedicated butler: 2,056 sq ft (191 m²) facing the Strip, one king bedroom and a billiard table in the living room, with check-in at the Fleur de Lis VIP lounge, at $2,236 that night. The Montclair, Imperial, Monarque, Chateau and Empire penthouses above it are booked by enquiry only.

Our verdict
Book Fontainebleau for a new resort you need not leave: the pools, the spa, the restaurants and LIV are all under one roof. Pay the small step to a Gold King Strip Best View, and plan on a taxi or the Loop for the rest of the Strip.
