Where to eat at and around Royal Hideaway Corales Beach

You are at the northern end of Costa Adeje, where the promenade gives out and La Caleta begins, and the eating is better than anywhere else on this coast for one reason: the hotel's own tables. El Rincón de Juan Carlos, two stars in the 2026 guide, is on the fifth floor, Monday to Friday only, 180 euros for the tasting menu. San Hô, one star, has a garden terrace looking to the sea, 18:00 to 22:00, closed Tuesday and Wednesday, with menus at 130 and 150 euros. Il Bocconcino, one star, is next door in Corales Suites, closed Sunday and Monday, and Starfish, La Trattoria and the NAO buffet complete the resort list. Then there is the village. La Caleta's harbour front is four to six minutes on foot from the door, and you do not need a car for any of it.

One of only two two-star restaurants in the Canary Islands, forty metres above the ocean. The Padrón brothers' tasting menu is fixed and cannot be adapted for vegetarians or shellfish allergies, the minimum age is 16, and late cancellation costs. All of which is to say: it takes itself seriously, and so should you.

    4 min walk

Italian and wine bar on the front · €€€

The nearest of the village restaurants on foot, an Italian restaurant and wine bar on the front, opened in 2006 and named for the red of the sunset that sets in front of its terrace. Its own site gives 13:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday, and takes bookings online. Come for pasta and a bottle when you want a change from Canarian fish, and sit outside for the sunset.

  • Masía del Mar

    5 min walk

Seafood house over the harbour · €€€

A seafood house on the harbour since 1981, which once held a Michelin star, its own site says, with live lobster and rice dishes on the menu, open 12:00 to 22:00. The weekday lunch promotion, Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 15:00, throws in the wine but carries a minimum spend of 70 euros a table, so it is not the cheap option it looks. Book for weekends and for sunset, which the site itself warns are the busy hours.

  • Local fish house, sunset views · €€€

A fish restaurant working with fish and seafood bought at the local markets, cooked with respect and not much else: octopus stew with a spicy vinaigrette, tuna carpaccio, grilled scallops. Its own site gives 13:00 to 22:30 Monday to Sunday and takes bookings online. Book for sunset, which its site sells hard, and eat the fish of the day rather than the menu's cleverer dishes.

  • Harbour restaurant since 1932, renovated · €€€

A harbour restaurant dating itself to 1932 on its own site and recently renovated, with live shellfish, fish of the day and rice dishes it makes a point of. The site does not publish hours, so book through its reservation page rather than turning up. This is the one for a long lunch over the water.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included on every rate, because the hotel's base rate is bed and breakfast, and it is served at NAO in the Beach building, which guests single out for its spread and its waiters. Breakfast in your room costs extra, as the hotel's FAQ says. The village has cafés, but none publishes early opening hours; the nearest alternative with published hours is Masía del Mar from noon, five minutes' walk.

What to skip

The half-board upgrade. Guests report the NAO dinner buffet feels steep for what it is, with limited choice for vegetarians, and it has a dress code and a 16-plus rule of its own. With four honest restaurants within six minutes on foot and three stars inside the resort, paying in advance for dinner every night is the one decision here that is hard to justify.
