Best spa hotels in Monaco

The Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo has had the Spa Métropole by Guerlain since July 2025: ten treatment rooms, a hammam, a sauna, a cold plunge and a Technogym room, open from 7am to 9pm. The menu runs from a deep muscular massage to Guerlain's signature Monaco Glow facial, an hour and a half long.

What makes a spa day here is the pool that follows it. Karl Lagerfeld designed the Odyssey terrace around a seawater pool heated all year and covered in winter, so a treatment in February can still end with a swim. Guests describe the service as personal and unhurried, with staff who remember names and preferences, and the hotel sits behind its own gates a street back from the Place du Casino, which keeps the day calm.

The Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo shares its spa with the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, and reaches it by a private indoor passage. The Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo is 6,600 m² with 37 treatment cabins, two saunas and an indoor seawater pool of 25 by 13 metres, heated to 29 degrees and open from 7am to 9pm. The pool, solarium, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym come with the room, so the wellness area that day visitors pay 160 euros for costs you nothing, and only the treatments are extra.

That makes it a natural base for a spa break between October and April, when an indoor seawater pool matters more than any beach: lengths in the morning, a drink at Bar Gustave under the glass dome in the evening, and no street to cross in between.

Two spas come with a room at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo. On the top floor, the Wellness Sky Club puts a heated outdoor pool, a solarium, a sauna, a hammam and a Technogym room into 500 m² kept for house guests aged 16 and over, with the pool and heat rooms open from 10am to 7pm in season. An indoor passage leads into the Thermes Marins next door, with 37 treatment cabins and a heated seawater pool open from 7am to 9pm, and its pool, sauna, steam room and gym are included too.

So the mornings can be lengths and a treatment at the Thermes, and the afternoons a lounger on the roof with the harbour below. It is the only hotel on the Place du Casino, so this is the spa stay with Le Louis XV off the lobby and the Casino across the square.

At the Fairmont Monte Carlo, the Fairmont Spa Monte Carlo sits on the rooftop a few steps from the pools and is the one place in Monaco offering 111Skin treatments, alongside massages and facial and body rituals, daily from 10am to 7pm. There is a sauna and a hammam, and the gym, Fairmont Fit, never closes, with Technogym kit round the clock and free entry for hotel guests.

In summer the deck has two pools. For a calm swim after a treatment, use Amù by the Pool, open to all ages; the other is Nikki Beach from April to October, with resident DJs, which suits a livelier afternoon. With Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, it has the lowest entry rate on this list, so it is the easiest way into a Monaco spa hotel five minutes from the Casino.
