Value in Lanzarote is mostly a question of when you go and what the rate includes. Every hotel here is cheapest in May and June and dearest over Christmas and New Year. There is no tourist tax on the island, and the 7% IGIC is already in the price, so the figure you see is the figure you pay for the room.
What changes the bill is the board and the extras. Paradisus Salinas sells only all-inclusive; Secrets and Barceló start with breakfast; Princesa Yaiza includes breakfast; at Palacio Ico and Hotel Lancelot it depends on the rate. Spas, parking and some à la carte dinners cost extra in several places. The five below give more than their price suggests, from a town beach in the capital to a manor house in the old one, and each has a room that is the smart step up.
Hotel Lancelot is the least expensive of our ten, with doubles from about €100 a night in June, and that money buys a real beach and a real town. Playa del Reducto, Arrecife's sandy town beach, is across a pedestrian promenade, about a minute from the door. The roof has a small pool walled in white with porthole windows, a solarium and a bar terrace shaded by sails, all looking over the town.
The Charco de San Ginés and the old fishing quarter are 16 minutes' walk, El Almacén seven, and the airport seven minutes by car, so a short break loses no time. Every room has a balcony or terrace, breakfast is a buffet, and the money saved goes on dinners in Arrecife.

Double Room Sea View
€121 a night
For €17 a night more than the Double Standard on a June night, the balcony faces the beach and the bay instead of the town.
Barceló Playa Blanca opened in December 2023 and starts at about €185 for two with breakfast in June. That buys a resort built around an infinity pool about 140 metres end to end, facing Fuerteventura across the strait, with sunbeds, parasols and towels free and, guests say, a lounger easy to find.
The value is in the board. On a June night in the entry room, half board was only €9 more than bed and breakfast for two, so dinner at the buffet costs almost nothing extra. Children get a heated pool with a pirate ship and slides beside the Barcy Club. For couples, the adults-only Royal Level, with its own heated infinity pool, pool bar and buffet, starts at €279 with breakfast.

Superior Sea Front
about 33 m²€246 a night
The first room that looks straight out to sea, at 33 m²; taken with half board, it still costs less than the Junior Suite Sea View with breakfast alone.
Hotel Boutique Palacio Ico is a manor house of around 1690 in Teguise, the old capital, with nine rooms around a courtyard, and a June night for two starts at about €195. That buys coffered tea-pine ceilings, wide stone walls and a dining room that MICHELIN recommends and that holds a Repsol Sol, where Víctor Valverde cooks two tasting menus from island produce such as La Santa prawns and Canarian black pig.
Breakfast is cooked to order and brought to the table, and it won Best Hotel Breakfast in the Canary Islands at the Culinary Hotel Awards 2025; check that your rate includes it. Parking is free, Teguise's Sunday market fills the streets outside, and the island is central from here: the Fundación César Manrique is 10 minutes by car and Famara beach 14.

Room 08
about 28 m²€237 a night
Two windows, over the village and the courtyard, under a large coffered ceiling, for €44 a night more than Room 02, whose only window is a small pane in its door.
Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort's value is space. Its Suite is 65 m², with a separate living room, two sofa beds, a bath and a separate shower, a Nespresso machine, a microwave and a kettle, for two adults and two children. On a four-night stay from 8 June 2027 it was €231 a night with breakfast, less than the smaller Double Superior on the same dates.
Around it is a full family resort: Capitan Park, a 10,000 m² open-air children's park with supervised clubs to age 13, six pools, a seawater thalasso for the parents and Playa Dorada's calm water at the garden gate. Half board brings a credit of €25 per adult towards dinner at Isla de Lobos or Kampai, and on stays of seven nights or more one thalasso circuit per person is included.

Suite
about 65 m², plus a 10 m² terrace€231 a night
The cheapest room on June dates and the one most families need: a bedroom plus a living room with two sofa beds, for two adults and two children.
Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa is an adults-only resort for guests over 18, from about €200 for two with breakfast in June, and that buys a lot of resort: four heated pools on terraces stepping down to the sea, six restaurants with no reservations needed, a piano bar with live music and an indoor hydrotherapy hall.
The smart money goes on the view rather than the club. The entry Double, Pool View and Ocean View are the same 30 m² room with a furnished terrace and a rain shower, so the Ocean View buys the Atlantic for €57 more on a June night. If the à la carte restaurants are part of the plan, choose the all-inclusive, which includes Oceana, Portofino, Gohan and the Barefoot Grill. The spa circuit is paid on top on every board, so the €95 stay pass is the one to take.

Double Ocean View
about 30 m²€259 a night
The same 30 m² as the entry Double, turned to the Atlantic, and the cheapest way here to wake up to the sea.
Every one of its 81 adults-only suites is at least 50 m², from about €260 for two with breakfast in June, with half board about €70 a night more and free parking beside the hotel.

Questions people ask
Good questions about Lanzarote
Is there a tourist tax in Lanzarote?
No. No council on the island charges one, Arrecife, Teguise, Tías, Yaiza and Haría included, and the Canary government has not introduced one. Hotel stays pay IGIC, the Canary Islands' own sales tax, at 7%, and quoted room rates already include it. What goes on top is the board and the extras: spa circuits, parking at some hotels and drinks outside the all-inclusive.
When is Lanzarote cheapest for hotels?
May and June, then September and October before the English half-term. Prices follow the northern winter, so Christmas, New Year, the February half-terms and Easter cost most. At Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort the week from 27 December 2026 cost about €497 a night against €231 in June; at Hotel Lancelot the Double Standard is €104 on a Tuesday in June against €134 on every Tuesday in February.
What does the cheapest good room cost?
At Hotel Lancelot, the Double Room Sea View was €121 a night for two with breakfast on Tuesday 8 June 2027, facing Playa del Reducto. In a resort, the entry Superior at Barceló Playa Blanca was €184 with breakfast on the same night, and the Double at Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa €202. At Hotel Boutique Palacio Ico, Room 03, the cheapest room with daylight, was €195.
Is half board or all-inclusive worth it?
At Barceló Playa Blanca, half board was only €9 a night more than breakfast for two in the entry room on a June night, and all-inclusive €84 more, so half board is the easy win. At Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa, the all-inclusive is what opens the à la carte restaurants. At Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort, half board added €99 a night for two in the Suite, with a credit of €25 per adult towards dinner at Isla de Lobos or Kampai.
