Hotel Boutique Palacio Ico, a Teguise manor of around 1690, has a MICHELIN-recommended dining room with a Repsol Sol, open for dinner Monday to Friday. Hotel César Lanzarote, beside La Geria's vineyards, serves Gonzalo Calzadilla's tasting menus of 13 and 10 courses, made from island fish, garden produce and what local farmers grow.

Lanzarote cooks from its own larder: prawns and carabineros from La Santa, smoked salmon from Uga, hake from La Graciosa, cherne, Canarian black pig, and the wines of La Geria, whose vines grow in pits of volcanic ash. Plenty of hotels serve a good dinner; two of our ten have a kitchen that is reason enough to book the room, and both are inland, in small houses where the table is the centre of the stay.
Choose by the calendar as much as the menu. Palacio Ico's dining room serves dinner only from Monday to Friday, so plan its nights midweek; the old town of Teguise feeds you well at the weekend. César Restaurant serves lunch and dinner, with booking mandatory, and nothing else is within walking distance, so you eat in or drive. The two are 25 minutes apart by road, which makes a few nights at each an easy way to eat across the island.
For many guests, the dining room is why they book Hotel Boutique Palacio Ico. Chef Víctor Valverde, who trained with Martín Berasategui and Sergi Arola, cooks two tasting menus, at €98 and €120 a head with tax, that change with the seasons and stay close to the island: La Santa prawns and carabineros, Uga smoked salmon, Lanzarote octopus, cherne and Canarian black pig. The wine list is strong on small-grower champagne and Canarian bottles. MICHELIN recommends it, and it holds a Repsol Sol.
Dinner runs from Monday to Friday, 6.30pm to 9.30pm, for guests of 10 and over, with lunch on Monday and Friday. Breakfast is served at the table and cooked to order, and it won Best Hotel Breakfast in the Canary Islands at the Culinary Hotel Awards 2025.

The day eats well too. Breakfast is in every rate, with eggs cooked to order; the Pool Restaurant serves light plates from 11am to 7pm, and the Sunset Bar cocktails and plates to share from 5pm, both for residents. The house holds One MICHELIN Key, and its revived vineyard bears fruit again.

Independently, through extensive research, trusted sources and first-hand visits. Hotels cannot pay to be included, and every one of the ten has to exist for a different reason.
